Very hospitable received after a long drive from Groningen. First show the place and facilities. We were also asked several times if everything was to our liking. Recommended if you want to camp in the area, I will definitely go there again when I'm in the area!!

How was the contact with the host?
Very good!

Had wonderful days in a beautiful corner of the garden. Super luxury to be away with the tent and still be able to use your own bathroom and kitchenette. And that train, the children slept through it and so did we after a night. Thanks for nice days

How was the contact with the host?
Nice to meet you. Just explained everything and a check if everything was ok.

It was a very nice place. The second night I was a bit disappointed with the ambient noise!
A fairly busy road quite close by, the railway line just past the garden, a highway a bit further (how far?), cafe noises (Saturday evening). This made me decide not to stay an extra night.

How was the contact with the host?
I have experienced the reception and contacts as very welcome and friendly.

Tips for new guests?
The proximity to the overwhelming Posbank is really a must.

Hello readers, the camping spot under the 4 plane trees was a great place for a tent.
The trees kept out heat and rain.
We were not used to train traffic, here in Spijk Gr we experience the silence again.

Aris and I ourselves had the idea that your daughters did not like it that we were using a private part of the garden and sanitary facilities.
(Invasion of their privacy).
The reception was fine, we would also like to have some more questions in between "Is everything to your liking? Is there anything else I can do for you?".
When you said goodbye, your husband said goodbye properly.
We would also like to say goodbye to yourself (Monique).
After all, the contact also went through you.
Thursday evening had been an idea to say hello.
We wish you and your family God's blessing and love.
Greetings Aris and Astrid Pestman

Dear Astrid,

Sorry you experienced it that way.
Our place in the garden is, as I mentioned earlier, less suitable for longer stays like you did.
The place is ideal for an active weekend of walking or cycling or for a stopover during a bike tour.
And we and our girls always find that very nice!

Greeting,
Monique

The experience was very good. The place is quite nice and the facilities make you feel like a luxury. It is soo close to the Veluwe and not far from Arnhem

How was the contact with the host?
Very nice and helpful :)

Tips for new guests?
The only downside is the proximity to the train rail if you are a light sleeper. In that case I recommend to bring earplugs.

Delicious! The freedom of camping combined with the luxury of private sanitary facilities, peace and privacy.
We enjoyed the chickens that, after being asked to do so, scurried in the garden.
We haven't heard the trains since the second night.
The picnic table and easy chairs contribute to the ultimate holiday feeling!

How was the contact with the host?
Friendly, relaxed, functional; entirely right.

Tips for new guests?
Enjoy what is offered to you!

Perfect location for walking/cycling in the area. Within a few steps you are in the forest towards the posbank. Nice was the access to the house with toilet, shower and sink. Personally something difficult with little privacy because you sleep in someone's garden.

How was the contact with the host?
Nice and cozy reception. Open to questions and great that I could borrow some things that I forgot myself :)

Wonderful place to camp, the Veluwe zoom literally starts on the other side of the road.

Nice to have your own bathroom. There was also a small kitchenette with coffee and tea

How was the contact with the host?
Hospitable, friendly welcome! Feeling that I could and could ask anything

Tips for new guests?
The train literally runs behind the house. Don't forget to bring earplugs, especially if you are a light sleeper ;)

During my stay I really fell in love with this beautiful area of the Veluwezoom/Posbank.
Ideal location from this Campspace location because you can walk straight into the beautiful forest from your camping spot at Monique. Plenty of nature to enjoy, because in addition to the forest and the heath, you can also cycle along (the floodplains of) the IJssel in no time. In addition, if you wish, the cities of Zutphen and Arnhem are also within easy reach. Monique is extremely hospitable, likes to think along with you and enjoy your beautiful adventures ;-)

It is a wonderful place to spend the night: many facilities and a very hospitable host. You are really at the bottom of the Posbank: with 20 minutes cycling you are at the top.

How was the contact with the host?

Tips for new guests?

Nice place to pitch your tent, there are two easy chairs and a picnic table ready. you have access to a small kitchenette with a fridge where you can make coffee and tea and a private bathroom with shower and toilet. When it started to thunder and rain in the evening, we were allowed to take shelter under the veranda.

How was the contact with the host?
Monique was a welcoming woman who really took the trouble to make you welcome. When it started to rain, he invited us to hide under the porch. The next day she came to tell us that she spotted deer at the end of the state. Very nice.

Tips for new guests?
Minus point was the trains that thundered past the house and especially the goods trains in the wknd it was no problem. during the week it was a bit restless at night

A nice spot right next to the Veluwe Zoom. Highly recommended for beautiful walks! Less than 5 meters into the forest, we saw 7 red deer grazing in the evening. What else do you want? There are also good facilities.

How was the contact with the host?
We were warmly welcomed. In the kitchen there was information about the area and you can go to the hosts for questions.

Tips for new guests?
It is near the railway and a busy road so keep that in mind.

Friendly welcome, hospitable and my motor scooter was allowed at the tent. I had three wonderful days in De Steeg under the plane trees. Beforehand I read about the noise of trains. Yes and no: Yes, trains pass by and no, it didn't bother me. Beautiful private bathroom! I would say: go! I will do that one more time. It's a nice area and a great place.

Had a wonderful overnight stay with Monique at the foot of the Veluwezoom. The contact was smooth and friendly. There is a separate room with a shower and toilet. The campspace is located directly on the track, but I was not inconvenienced by it. It is the perfect base for walkers and cyclists to discover the beautiful surroundings. You can reach the Veluwezoom within 5 minutes by bike. Tip: Go early! The chance of spotting wild animals such as deer and wild boars is much greater. In nearby Rheden there are restaurants such as a pizzeria and pancake house and 2 supermarkets. In short, a top camp space!

We were kindly received and shown the way. Also had little contact. Nice place under the plane trees, private bathroom and kitchenette. The sound of the railway was not too bad. However, the highway was very dominant. Lovely walk in the woods. The visitor center on the Posbank is busy and touristy, but once you are a few hundred meters from there it is quiet.

Our night in De Steeg was great, score 5 out of 5!
Friendly and hospitable reception, good and clean (private) sanitary facilities and a beautiful location right on the Veluwezoom.

Coffee and a fridge available. Possibility to make a fire pit and table and chairs available. Highly recommended.

The place in the Steeg was above expectations, 4 stars. Not 5 stars because you didn't have an unobstructed view. But definitely recommend!
There was a 'normal' bathroom available and even a kettle and coffee/tea.
The place is located between a street and a railway line, but that doesn't have to be a problem, so people won too... I was 'lucky' to spend the night there during the curfew, so quiet on the street and fewer trains.
Contact with the host was fine and respectful.

It is a lovely, sheltered spot on the edge of beautiful nature. Lots to explore in the direction of the forest or the IJssel. It's next to a train track though, so if you're a light sleeper, earplugs might be fine. What's great is that you can also grab a cup of coffee inside.

Camping under the plane trees, what more could you want? We camped here for a wonderful night. Our sons played football, chased the 3 chickens into the coop with the oldest daughter and roasted marshmallows at a campfire in the evening. Monique and Bartele offer you your own sanitary facilities, with a nice shower. A refrigerator and even a cup of coffee can be used in this room. There are plenty of maps of the area. You can walk straight onto the Veluwezoom. If you are a walker or cyclist or MTB there are plenty of routes from this place and this is an ideal location to relax for 1 or 2 nights. Despite the fact that it is next to the railway and a road, we were not bothered by this. We thought it was a wonderful place to relax for a while.

Monique was a friendly host. She gave us the space to move around her house, shower and look at some walking routes while drinking coffee. The garden is furnished with three gorgeous spring chickens that we hear like to cuddle, and four outstanding 50+ year old trees. Across the street there’s the most magical forest ever. You can get lost a bit, while looking at deer and the shapes in the trees. Also, the Posbank is five minutes away, so we scuttled away at four in the morning to watch the sunrise. There’s quite a diversity of landscapes around. We’re planning on coming back. Thank you Monique!
