Camp or rent accommodation right next to the mill in Lintelo with a beautiful view of the mill and an unobstructed view of the meadows where the cows still walk outside in the summer. The grain mill is older than 150 years. Tour of the miller (usually) on Saturday afternoon or by appointment.

The Slingeplas is located near the fortified town of Bredevoort, near Aalten. The sandy beach and the lake make this the ideal place for a day out and then set up your tent at the Wenninkmolen in Lintelo.
In consultation you choose a spot for your tent. Bring your own camping equipment and use the available sanitary facilities (shower and toilet) on our property. You can also use the shared kitchen/canteen (fridge, microwave, stove available).

Good communication, friendly welcome, beautiful location at the mill and wonderfully clean and tidy. Kitchenware is like new and decorated to taste with nice, sweet little details.

How was the contact with the host?
Fantastic. Smooth and friendly. I was allowed to borrow a wheelbarrow because I had a lot of stuff, very thoughtful.

Tips for new guests?
There is an electric heater and an infrared heater, but for the really cold winter months the house might be a bit chilly, so bring a warm cardigan. I was tired, so I don't know if that was the cause, but I was a bit chilly. (late Nov.)

We stayed for a total of 4 nights at Thea's charming "millhouse" camping site and we couldn't recommend it enough! Both the facilities and the surrounding views were an absolute delight, and Thea was the sweetest host you could ever wish for. The kitchen and bathroom facilities were spotless and had everything you could need. The tour provided by Martie the miller around the beautiful old mill on the property was also a "once in a lifetime" experience. We so wished we could have stayed longer and been able to wake up to the lovely cows grazing in the neighbouring field. Perhaps one day we'll be lucky enough to do so ☺️
