Tiny House
Two carefully decorated tiny houses, named Wolf and Schildpad, with a spacious veranda that allows you to sit outside quickly.
There is also air conditioning in the Wolf house, which means that it can also be quickly heated to a pleasant temperature. Wolf has 2 double beds that are located on 2 voids, 1 has a stair gate. Turtle has a double bed and a bunk bed in separate room.
Fully equipped except shower and toilet. The new and clean sanitary building is 30 steps away and not much visited, so there is peace and quiet there too. You can park your car/motorcycle at the cottages.
The cottages are located in the beautiful Reestdal at the back of the Vossenburcht family campsite in IJhorst, where you can walk straight into the forest.
Previous guests indicate that the cottages are fully equipped and are very nicely decorated and clean.
All beds have good tempur mattresses so that a good night's sleep is guaranteed. 1 person duvets and pillows are provided.
There are no fitted sheets, duvet covers and towels. You must bring these yourself or you can rent them through us for €7.50 per person.
The cottages offer enough space for 4 people. There is a spacious, covered veranda, where you can sit outside. The kitchen is fully equipped and there are tea/kitchen and dish towels as well as pepper, salt and olive oil. There is a sink with cold water. There is also closet space to store your clothes and toiletries during your stay.
Moreover, we are dog-friendly, so your four-legged friend is also welcome. 2 dogs do not need to be discussed, if there are more than happy to discuss. There is also a bed for the dog and there are dog bowls ready for him / her.
A SEP card is available in the cottage. You put credit on this to get hot water in the sanitary building for washing up or for a shower. You can top up this SEP card at the reception or the large sanitary building at the front of the campsite.
Familiecamping de Vossenburcht is a quiet campsite with a swimming pool, playground, table tennis, animation team, catering. This is at the front of the campsite, so you do not have any 'disturbance' from this at the tiny house. The tiny house is located at the back of the campsite where you can walk straight into the woods for wonderful walks. For more information about the campsite, see the website of camping de vossburcht.
The area, the Reestdal, is a beautiful area for walkers and cyclists.
About 6 km. from the campsite is the natural swimming pond 'the black pines'. This is located in the forest and there are several hiking trails. There is also a dog play forest here.
Places such as De Wijk, Staphorst and Meppel are close to the campsite. Zwolle, Giethoorn, Ommen and Hoogeveen are about half an hour's drive from the campsite.
The nearest supermarket is 3.5 km away in De Wijk, where there are also several shops.
Nice outings in the area include stork decoy in De Wijk, the sculpture garden at the Havixhorst estate, Slagharen and Giethoorn, Meppel, Ommen and Zwolle is only half an hour's drive from the campsite for museum de Fundatie, Dinoland or a good lunch / dinner from local products at Lekker Zwols or to the best new pub in the Netherlands: the Dublin house.

We, Stephan and Miranda have owned the 2 tiny houses, Wolf and Turtle, since November 2021. Both houses are 4 person houses and are on 1 lot, but with their own space at the houses. We have adapted, refurbished and furnished the cottages to match the wooded area where the cottages are located. The cottages are located in Overijssel in the beautiful surroundings of the Reestdal. Places such as Meppel, Zwolle, Hoogeveen, Ommen and Giethoorn can be reached within half an hour's drive. We live 20 minutes away in Drenthe with our two dogs.

Giethoorn is the Venice of the Netherlands, so highly recommended, but the megalithic tombs at Havelte are also nice and you can go for a beautiful walk, just like at the Dwingelderveld near Dwingeloo.
We find cities such as Zwolle and Meppel very cozy to grab a terrace, but Ommen and Dalfsen also have nice terraces
on Friday afternoon there is a small market in De Wijk, 3.5 km from tiny house Wolf.
recommendations: Lekker Zwols in Zwolle, local products and the Dublin House in Zwolle, this is the best new pub in the Netherlands 2023. It is good to make a reservation.
In Giethoorn there is a good pizzeria, Fratelli's where you can sit by the water, the Night Watch in Meppel is also a nice restaurant and in Meppel you have nice squares with nice terraces / restaurant
