Lovely camping in the heart of the Flemish Ardennes
About this campspace #s003919
In the middle of the wide fields of the Flemish Ardennes you have a meadow available.
About the region:
Close to the Burreken nature reserve, the Muziekbos and the Brakelbos. Numerous walking and cycling routes are nearby. The beautiful Maarkedal is also the setting for many cycling classics (the meadow is located about 0.5 km from the Taaienberg). Vespa rental in the area (5 km), as well as some local (eating) cafes and restaurants, a number of Sunday cafes, the Bosaarmolen (a very nice place to have a picnic) ...
There is no running water, although a water bottle (15L) is provided that you can refill on site. The meadow is partially sloping, but there is also a large area completely flat so that tents can be installed on even ground. Burning a fire in a fire bowl is possible, wood is available on site.
There is space to park near a car (preferably not in the meadow itself), local shops and a bakery are about 4 km away, and the dial-a-bus stop is 500 meters away.
We are happy to welcome you and show you around our region!

Meet Elien, your host
Had a beautiful winter evening in an idyllic spot. Everything was as we wanted it to be. Thanks for providing enough dry firewood, Elien!

We had a great time, it is a beautiful location and the communication with the host went well!
The facilities are very basic, but that is also clearly indicated in the advertisement.
It really is the perfect location for cycling, and is on the route of the Tour of Flanders (blue loop).

The advertisement indicated that the location is suitable for campers and that is also the case when it is dry (as was the case with us). The meadow is on a hill, so when it rains it can sometimes be difficult to get back to the top with a van. Maybe that can also be mentioned in the ad?

It was our first experience with CampSpace and it was immediately a great one! The contact with the host was really easy. She was flexible and very helpful. The location is completely private and very beautiful! It's a bit 'back to nature', because there's no toilet on spot, but this didn't bother us at all. We really enjoyed the campfire that she provided for us and the beautiful views on the meadows and the horses. It was a beautiful, romantic getaway! I give it a 5 star review!
We had a very nice stay: smooth and friendly welcome, water and wood available, quiet and beautiful location.

Very nice camping in beautiful surroundings! Contact with host was perfect, quick response and good communication.
Everything was perfect. Good hostess, nice camping place. There was wood, as promised. It was a nice weekend. Worth repeating!
Wonderful place for really basic camping. Fantastic hostess. Meeting was very easy. She provided a bottle of (drinking) water and firewood. Absolutely great. I would provide a shovel and accompanying paper and ask people to bury their “biological waste”. We always have one, but there were already some “traces” of previous guests.
Super location and very friendly host!! Greatly enjoyed. Great recommendation!
Dogs are allowed, although you should keep in mind that the meadow is not closed.
