Very good camping spot! A private campsite for the true seeker of tranquility. Really great!
Everything you need is there. The garden is very well maintained, the sanitary facilities are in order and the owner very friendly.
There is also a washing-up facility outside and we were allowed to use the roof in the garden.

How was the contact with the host?
Fine. As said a very friendly host. On arrival (only at 10 pm) and departure we were even treated to coffee / tea :)

Your stay in your garden, Jan, was a beneficial succession of beautiful moments. It all started with your warm welcome with tea while I pitched my tent. And so began a series of pleasant chats interspersed with pieces of peace and quiet.
You have arranged your garden wonderfully sheltered with views and seating areas here and there. I also woke up early in the morning with hares around me when I opened the tent and this morning there was suddenly a spotted woodpecker in front of me!
Furthermore, you are the hospitality itself in all kinds of ways, this feels very good, thank you!!!

How was the contact with the host?
Very pleasant, Jan is attentive and pleasant and goes about his business while you feel that he is available if you want to ask something.
Unique!

Tips for new guests?
If you really want to get away from it all, are looking for peace and quiet and still want to have some claim and a nice city within cycling distance, then go to Jan for a few days!

Our first experience with Campspace, and immediately a very nice and good experience for us. The camping spot was in Jan's garden, a well-kept garden with a very neat and clean toilet/shower. There is a handy washing-up area with hot water. We were allowed to choose a spot ourselves, of course we got tips where the sun turned. Lots of birds and also hares that came through the garden. You can enjoy walking through the meadows around this campsite.

How was the contact with the host?
Rarely felt more welcome, Jan is a very hospitable man. Communication with Jan went smoothly, and he was always available. We received good explanations about the site and the facilities. A friendly chat was also no problem.
John is just a great guy!

Tips for new guests?
Try to spot all the separate bird houses in the garden !! :-)
Bring a bike, Everything is nearby, but you do need a bike (or your car).

Just like the Pentecost weekend that it came out of the sky with baking, but that didn't spoil the fun. Very nice place and perfect facilities. Shed where we could put stuff in and another veranda with chairs and a table where we could sit well. Sanitary spacious and beautiful.

How was the contact with the host?
John is truly a hero. Responds very well, really thinks along and is a really great host.

We had forgotten with the tent and the pegs, Jan went to get pegs especially for us!

Jan has a beautiful and well-maintained garden. In the middle of the meadows you camp with the sound of the birds, the cows of the neighbors a bit further and nothing else. Top location, close to Sneek in a beautiful, open area.

How was the contact with the host?
Jan is super friendly and welcoming. We drank coffee together and were able to pick lettuce from his vegetable garden. The contact is possible if you want, but Jan also leaves you free. In any case, he will make sure that you don't miss out on your camping pitch.

Tips for new guests?
Go to Sneek by bike. The route alone is an adventure, unpaved paths, over farmyard and between meadows you really get away from it all.

Beautiful place I say. Total tranquility in the middle of Friesland, near Sneek. Excellent sanitary facilities, possibility to build a campfire and a lovely garden. Canopy is also very relaxed for the evening!

How was the contact with the host?
Super. My van stopped 1.5km from the Campspace and Jan towed us with his own car to the Campspace and offered his own car the next day to tour Friesland!

Tips for new guests?

We were the first guests this year. It was still fresh and we were immediately offered a cup of soup on arrival. The place in Jan's garden was fantastic, completely free with a beautiful view of the polder from all sides. We loved the silence and yet also in Sneek for fun.
We were allowed to use the shower and toilet in the house privately. Very luxurious :)

Already curious by the stories in the reviews, we were still surprised by the spontaneous Jan. He does everything he can to make you feel comfortable. Cup of tea or coffee and a sprig of rosemary to take home. Also ask him about the walk that starts in the meadow behind the house.
A must for those seeking tranquility!

We were very kindly received by Jan. He had warned us that he had room for a small camper. Ours was slightly larger than expected (7.5m) this is actually too big for this very beautiful place. The weather was fantastic and the facilities are fine. The garden is beautiful and very quiet with a wide view. Quite remote You can use Jan's toilet and shower. It is ideal for people who want a very quiet place. We only heard the wind and the occasional bird when the wind was a bit calmer.
The place is fifteen minutes by bike from a supermarket and about 5-6 km from Sneek.
Thank you Jan for your kindness and openness. We enjoyed you, the place and Friesland!!

How was the contact with the host?

It was so nice with Jan that we stayed an extra night. It was all right on arrival; Jan was ready with homemade pizza and in the morning he had the coffee ready. John is very hospitable. Kitchen, bathroom, we were allowed to use everything.
His garden is beautiful too! Wide views over the fields on all sides, full of trees and plants that he has planned himself and full of small birds. An amazing sunset every night was the icing on the cake!
We were allowed to use the electric bicycles. We made a nice trip along Sneek, IJlst and Heeg.
Tige tank Jan, we'll get back soon!
