Relaxation and peace on the large meadow by the river.
It is a so-called outdoor area in the interior, ie the meadow is in a quiet location, shielded from the residential area by trees, but still within walking distance of the town center. In the evening you can go to one of the local restaurants or the pizzeria and then walk back to the meadow in 5 minutes. There are also several supermarkets within walking distance in the town.
Hikes into the nearby Ostracher Ried can be started directly from the meadow.
The meadow is also an ideal starting point for hikes or bike tours to the nearby Ostracher Ried or Pfrunger-Burgweiler Ried. There is a unique moor landscape there, which can be experienced via a specially created hiking trail. An oasis of peace, ideal for anyone who wants to really switch off, relax and recharge their batteries.
The highlight is the Bannwaldturm, a 38.8 m high observation tower with a facade made of larch wood, from which the entire reed bed can be seen. At the foot of the tower there are seating areas for hikers to rest and relax.
