Equipped tent
At Sandkjærgård, the tent camp is in a forest grove, you sleep under the treetops with the sound of the wind in the leaves and wake up to the chirping of the sunflowers. The bed is ready when you arrive and you can relax in the hammock, make shortbread by the campfire or grill a steak.
There is a larger communal garden where you can play a game or just laze around. In the forest grove, there are 2 Glamping tents between the trees, there is a campfire site where guests can gather around a fire and sing together.
In the garden you can barbecue and relax, perhaps with a good book in the hammock, there is wifi in the area. In the garden, guests can frolic with games and play, or be creative with what nature has to offer, precisely at the time of year you visit Sandkjærgård.
The green garden is large, lush and surrounded by wild trees and shrubs. Large parts of the garden are allowed to look after themselves, i.a. Erika's garden, which has existed for well over a hundred years, but otherwise the property is run organically.
Here you can rent a bike and enjoy a bike ride in the green surroundings found in the area. Here is a short distance to the third deepest lake in Denmark, namely Hald lake in Dollerup Bakker, if you are into paddleboarding, then we have a few that you can rent, and Kongenshus Memorial Park with the sheep munching freely in the heather hills.
From Sandkjærgård you can go far and reach both indoor and outdoor activities. There is a short distance to the cities of Holstebro, Viborg, Herning and Silkeborg, the beach is a ½ hour drive away. There are several hikes close by, among other things. Hærvejen and the newly constructed Kalk Kaminoen, which crosses Mønsted and Daugbjerg Lime Mines. The possibilities in the area are many and there is something for all generations.
There is an age limit of 15 on the site, unfortunately we do not accept children under that age.

Lovely place, beautiful surroundings, despite the rain. One recommends
How was the contact with the host?
Cannon. Tina is there if you need help or questions.
Tips for new guests?
The bed is not the biggest, so do not expect much space but it is not something that pulls my good experience down.

We simply had such wonderful days in the tent. There is a beautiful quiet area at the edge of the forest next to Tina's house. It is highly recommended. The tent is a perfect size and the mattress on the bed is good!
There were very small shortcomings, such as a large pot, a pan / pot that could be used on the fire and the light chains sang on the last verse (hardly worked).
The toilet facilities were good and there was plenty of hot water to take a shower.
How was the contact with the host?
Tina was quick to respond and I'm sure if there was anything one needed she could help.
Tips for new guests?
The kitchen is very minimalist, there is just what one needs. So if you want a bowl, a larger pot, etc., you must bring your own.

Sandkjærgård is really a nice quiet and scenic spot. The glamping tents stand in a small piece of forest. There is a nice large fireplace with pallet furniture, an outdoor kitchen and toilet and shower. The host is sweet and welcoming. Good location close to Hald lake and Dollerup Hills. We would love to come again :-)

Really cozy surroundings, we had it all to ourselves and we really enjoyed it. Made puff pastry over a campfire and toasted marshmallows. Nice toilet and shower facilities and small kitchen with just what you need.
We are very happy and satisfied with our stay with Tina.
Thanks for now. :-)

The nicest Camp in a beautiful little forest clearing, between the forest animals and birdsong… and the cutest little cat.
The tent and bathroom / toilet were so nice clean.
Since there were two tents and a small house with two showers / toilets, it would be nice if there was a fixed toilet / shower for each tent instead of sharing both. (Because the opportunity is present and obvious).
We were looking for a quiet weekend in beautiful surroundings and we got it.
How was the contact with the host?
Super nice. Tina received us, and was there if we wanted anything.
And otherwise we actually talked to her first when we said nice goodbye and thank you for a really nice weekend.

We would love to return to Sandkjærgård, which was nice and quiet and the tent was great! There was both a good bed, duvets / sheets, light chains and towels. Very luxurious - and nice cool on the very hot summer days. Remember mosquito spray!
Great with the hammocks around! There is also a small outdoor kitchen with kettle, refrigerator and the option to charge your phone. The bath has a miniature hot water tank - so you just have to be aware of that;)
The stay would have been for five stars if the communication had been a little better. When we got the stay confirmed we did not get the exact address, we had to write and ask for it afterwards. On the day of our arrival, the host wrote and asked when we arrived, because she came home later due to work, but when we answered with our arrival time, she never returned .. We also do not know if it was actually the host we met on arrival, it did not work that way.

Nice place. Nice with toilet, shower and small kitchen. Nice campfire site. The glamping tent itself was a bit dirty and there were a lot of insects in there. The bedding was damp as it had been lying in the tent long before we arrived.
