Cabin
We've built a tiny room in the woods. Sit in stillness and watch the weather or the wildlife on this 85 acre Land Trust protected farm on Virginia's Eastern Shore. Camping with a roof over your head. Imagine a gypsy hut nestled under a willow tree next to a pond with no other buildings, roads, or lights nearby. That's us!
Although 1 or 2 (or 3) guests are typical, there's also plenty of room to camp with a larger group in tents.
Background: This shelter started out its life as an emergency shelter designed to give quick, easy better-than-a-tent space after a natural disaster. It was designed by a local duo and cut entirely on a CNC router. It flat packs in a crate for quick shipment in an emergency and can be assembled in a few hours. We've taken this one and decked it out with some locally milled pine siding, a few extra windows, a finished interior, a 30 amp RV circuit (NOT currently hooked up to power!), and fully insulated it. It's a unique shelter in a truly unique spot. We've added a tiny propane heater to take the chill off inside. Firewood and a jug of water are on site for you. Bathrooms up at the B&B on the front of the farm.
