Welcome to our little cottage in Drensteinfurt!
You can camp here with up to 6 people, children and dogs are welcome. You can enjoy our garden all to yourself (single pitch).
You have a new, large, private bathroom with shower 🚿 . And if you want, you can sweat in our barrel sauna.
For your children (if you have children) there is a swing and a small sandpit with toys.
And if you feel like it, you can sit by the fire bowl in the evening.
It is idyllic here: there is an orchard, a vegetable garden, our three goats Odiloh, Azrael and Lavender and our cat 🐈 Katinka.
The scent of fresh hay accompanies you in summer.
The highlight is the view of our listed mill tower and the sunsets from there - best with a crackling campfire.
Depending on the season, you can pick fruit from our trees and bushes: apples, pears, cherries, plums, blackberries, raspberries, gooseberries, currants...
We'd be happy if you came to visit us! There are two things here: on the one hand the PEACE of country life, on the other hand the SOUNDS of country life: We have a small tractor that helps us with our work, we mow the lawn sometimes, Luis crows when he wants, the owls are nocturnal, and during the day you can hear the kestrels circling over our cottage every now and then. Every now and then we also scurry through the picture and do something - but you shouldn't let that infect you :)
If you fancy a fire in the evening, ask us about our fire bowl. A box of wood costs 5 euros.
***
We have a barrel sauna that you are welcome to use after consulting with us!
Prices:
2.5 hours costs 15 euros for one person.
Each additional person costs 5 euros.
If you want to stay in the sauna for longer, you pay 3 euros per person for each additional hour.
You can borrow hand and sauna towels from us if required.

I have put together a little booklet for you with things worth seeing and experiencing that you can use to get inspiration. Here are a few first impressions:
***
There are several beautiful cycling and hiking routes along our mill - either directly into the industrial culture (you'll have to cycle a bit) or into the nature of the Münsterland. The start of the Werseradweg is very close by. You can also start the 100 Castles Route from here.
***
You will also find bathing and hiking lakes with beautiful forest areas in the area:
Swimming lakes within 23-35 km
Hiking lakes within 20-35 km
***
There are also some forests in the area - accessible by bike.
***
You can go fishing on the Werse in Drensteinfurt - 10 km away.
***
By car or train you can quickly get to Münster, Dortmund, Hamm or visit small, typical Münsterland towns. In my opinion, Münster in particular is worth a day trip. And Holland is not far away either. And of course the Ruhr area with its industrial culture.
***
If you are looking for day trip destinations for your children, here are some tips: In Münster there is a wonderful all-weather zoo, a planetarium, the mill museum and the Aasee, where you can go pedal boating. In Hamm there is the Maxipark.
***
Swimming pool 10 km away in Drensteinfurt (nice cycle path)
Great sauna and indoor pool in Ahlen - 10 km away (nice cycle path)
***
Canoe tours on the Werse or the Lippe (entrance 20-35 km away).

Our mill is not in the real hinterland without any sounds of civilization. Most of the street noises, however, are filtered out by the farm building path that lies between "your" garden and the road that runs about 100 meters in front of our farm. There is also a field that is cultivated seasonally with corn or grain.
Nature lovers, hikers, cyclists, people who want to see places, castles and lots of landscapes by bike, people who want to explore Münster, families, couples, solo travellers
