About this campspace

Our Cork Forest camping is in the middle of a rural area in Central Portugal, it is an ideal place to connect with nature, listen to the birds and relax. There are several lakes and river beaches around 15-30 min drive from us and many peaceful places for walks and bike rides. For those who are interested in Permaculture and sustainable lifestyle we offer a tour of our farm and explain our sustainable self sufficient lifestyle practices. 
We offer "farm to table" vegetarian dinner when booked at least a day in advance (for extra fee). Our facilities are simple and nature friendly, we only offer dry compost toilet and an outdoor shower - all the soaps and shampoo that you use here must be biodegradable. 
Fire and BBQ is not allowed due to the fire regulations in rural Portugal. 
We have a dog and cats in our farm, so if you bring pets, you have to keep them with you all the time, there are no fences.
The acess road is 400m of dirt road, that might be tricky for large motorhomes and extra large camper vans. 
There is no place to damp the chemical toilet or vaste water of a motor home. 
We offer the possibility to use a washing machine for extra fee (5€ per load) on sunny days. 
There is a possibility to charge your phone.

Our permaculture farm is completely off-grid, we get the electricity from our own solar pannels, water from our well and attempt to grow most our own food. We only use compost toilet, so our waste will be given back to mother Earth as fertile soil. We ask our guests to use only biodegradable soaps and shampoos, since we recycle the shower water for watering trees.
