The site is located 4 kms from Saint-Lary, in the village of Tramezaïgues, at an altitude of 900 m in the Pyrenees.
It belongs to our association.
It offers pleasant, shaded pitches and numerous amenities. However, it's not a classic campsite, and it's self-managed.
As a result, prices can be attractive.
Each camper is responsible for his or her stay, respecting the site, its facilities and cleanliness.
Normally, to stay with us, you need to join the association.
You can become a member by paying a membership fee (2024: €22) and you'll be helping us to continue this project.
When you leave:
Please do not leave any garbage behind. Please dispose of your rubbish bags at the collection points at Place de la Mairie.
The area is ideal for discovering the pleasures of hiking. Valleys, peaks and lakes all compete for your attention, immersing you in unspoilt nature where every step is a window onto a new and enchanting landscape.
You'll also enjoy fishing or descending the rio in Spain's canyons.
The setting is calm, far from the roads, far from worries and steeped in pure air.
The water comes from the mountains and is untreated (just let it run for a while before serving yourself). There's no need to bother with supermarket bottles!
The nearest shops are in Saint Lary-Soulan.
A path leaves the village of Tramezaïgues, crosses the Rioumajou (on a rope bridge) and heads for Saint Lary, 3-4 km below (via the Chemin de Caneilles).
You can return via Vignec and Cadeilhan on an exposed path in the morning.
The activities
Our site is located at the foot of the château, in a natural setting that encourages encounters.
We're on the edge of the GR 105 (hikers from Saint Jacques to Spain via the port of Ourdissetou) at the entrance to the Rioumajou valley, one of the most beautiful unspoilt valleys in the Hautes Pyrénées, where you can relax by its Neste (more often called Gave by neophytes).
If you'd like to hike with a qualified guide to higher altitudes, or to learn more about the valley, don't hesitate to ask us for the contact details of our preferred guide. He'll be able to advise you or accompany you to unusual places (he's also an excellent photographer). His website: Daniel Guilly
Many activities are available in the surrounding villages (mine museum, bear museum, swimming pool, aquatic play area at Loudenvielle, relaxation area (SPA, Thalasso...), spa at Saint Lary, many restaurants...).
Spain nearby (via 3 km tunnel).
Paragliding, climbing, rafting, canyoning, water sledging... and above all, challenging or accessible hiking for all levels.
Cap de Long dam, Néouvielle reserve, national park nearby.
Other things
The family house that hosts you on its grounds also offers self-catering rooms with a range of options, and very attractive prices for those "without a tent".
We don't have any staff, so everyone is responsible for cleaning up after themselves, and for leaving the areas and equipment clean. Remember to bring your own cleaning products.
On site, you're sure to meet a few of our association's old hands, who will be able to guide or advise you if necessary.
They can also bake the cake you've prepared (in the Chalet's oven) or help you out with anything else.
Don't hesitate to ask for advice or help: this is a very friendly place (it's been self-managed since its creation!) and should remain so.
A word of advice: try the fresh water from the village fountain.
Enjoy your stay.

The association aims to:
Make vacation stays accessible to all at reasonable prices (or support the right to vacation for all) by offering:
- A welcome for “vacationers” in self-managed and collective structures in the French and Spanish Pyrenees.
- A camp for teenagers in July subsidized by the association.
Promote solidarity, cultural and social diversity, tolerance and respect for others.
Develop the participation and responsibility of members by becoming actors in their vacation stay.
Promote, support and encourage popular education works, whether educational, cultural or sporting.
Occasionally support actions undertaken by other associations that share our concerns and values.
Facilitate the discovery of the mountain environment in a spirit of preservation of natural resources and sustainable development.

Your pet* accompanies you and is welcome provided that:
Ensure safety: Pets must be kept tied up at all times. This ensures their safety and that of other campers. At night it must be with you, inside your tent, van, camper van, caravan on your pitch. Your pet must not stay alone in your accommodation while you go for a walk, go shopping, etc.
Maintain cleanliness: It is imperative to allow your dog to do its business outside of Les Isgles property or to pick up its droppings.
Respect calm: Make sure that your dog does not bark excessively and does not disturb other campers. Calm is essential for a pleasant experience for everyone.
Up-to-date vaccinations: Make sure your pet's vaccinations are up to date before you leave.
*Dogs of 1st and 2nd categories are prohibited
Respect and ensure respect for the land: cigarette butts and other waste in the trash in the village square (the garbage collectors do not come to the chalet and no one other than you will collect your trash).
Same for calm: self-management sometimes also means “education”. Do not hesitate to speak with those who do not respect you. This doesn't happen often but sometimes you will be required to "police".
Limit the passage of cars at night after 11 p.m. (turn on a parking light or park in the village if you arrive really late at night).
Drive at a walking pace and stay in parking spaces whenever possible.
