About this campspace

30 km southwest of Hanover you can pitch your tent in my garden on a slight slope. The small village of Altenhagen II is idyllically situated in a hilly Feldmark (also called the "Tuscany of Lower Saxony") directly at the foot of the Deister. With an extensive network of paths and approx. 405 meters in altitude, the Deister invites you to go on long or short hikes and bike tours. Altenhagen II is a "dead end village", ie there is no through traffic. A car or a horse-drawn carriage rarely drives past our garden to the higher-lying houses.

The excursion restaurant "Forsthaus Blumenhagen" can be reached with a twenty-minute walk, where you can stop off Thursdays to Sundays. The town of Lauenau with shops, several restaurants and an outdoor pool is 3 km away.

During your stay, you can use the well-kept guest toilet in my workshop with a separate entrance for your own use. There is a small hand basin with cold tap water (no hot water). If necessary, you can use my washing machine for a fee of 3 euros. On request, I can also offer breakfast for an additional charge.

My little dog Fiete is very friendly to people and to all bitches. He often has problems with male dogs, so we can only welcome male dogs in exceptional cases and ask for prior consultation.
