On the Dutch Waterline, on the border of South Holland and Gelderland, between Leerdam and Culemborg with the Linge nearby, we run a small-scale guesthouse at the foot of the Diefdijk,
Located between orchards and willows, in the middle of nature, it is wonderful to stay in our guesthouse. We have converted this secluded house into a cozy independent residence, furnished in such a way that every walker, cyclist or those seeking peace and quiet can fully enjoy and relax.
From the terrace you have a beautiful view over the nature reserve and with a bit of luck you can enjoy a beautiful sunset. On beautiful summer evenings you can enjoy the covered terrace with a glass of wine or homemade juice by a crackling fire in the patio stove. Even in winter you can enjoy a crackling wood fire in the wood-burning stove inside.
You can sleep wonderfully in a real box bed, but with a modern size and comfort.
There is a private shower and toilet facility.
You can make your own coffee and tea in the attractive kitchenette and there is a microwave. Sometimes we offer a breakfast service. Our breakfast has now been widely praised! Because we love tasty and, above all, healthy food, we use as many home-grown and regional products as possible.
The bread is baked by us and the grain is ground between stones by an old-fashioned windmill. The eggs are laid by our own chickens, the jam is homemade and comes from our own plums, the cheese comes from the local cheesemaker.
We combine old-fashioned quality with modern techniques.
You can enjoy cycling in the area and you can swim in the nearby lake. It is also nice to relax at the back of the site, in our food forest, and there is a campfire area.
