About this campspace
We rent a modernly equipped mobile home on a well-kept, quiet campsite that is ideal for families on Lake Maggiore in Cannobio in Piedmont in Italy, which is only 3 km from the Swiss border. It's only a 10-minute drive from Brissago (Ticino). It is also possible, although not quite as quick, to travel by public transport from Locarno train station (CH) - even on weekends and public holidays.
Equipment mobile home
The mobile home is located on the campsite, surrounded by palm trees, on the edge and therefore in a quiet location with wonderful morning sun. It offers space for up to 6 adults - and if small children sleep in the bed and you want to cuddle, then even more people. For more privacy, there are two rooms that can be accessed separately: one room with a double bed (180 x 200) and the other room with a double bed (160 x 200) and a large single bed (120 x 200). A basic set of pillows (4 pieces) and blankets (4 pieces) is provided. However, you must always bring your own fitted sheets, covers and towels.
Also available: Modern kitchen (newly installed in 2021) with stove, running (hot) water and full kitchen equipment as well as good basic equipment such as spices, olive oil, vinegar, tea and cocoa powder for guests. Refrigerator + additional drinks cooler, DeLonghi bean coffee machine, Philips SenseoPad coffee machine, microwave, sink, hot water boiler. Indoor and outdoor dining tables, garden chairs, entertainment (flat screen TV with all German channels, Bluray player with many children's films, board games, rackets, balls, etc.), air conditioning, fan heater (up to 25 degrees indoor temperature can be reached in autumn/winter), charcoal grill, awning , parasol, two adult bicycles etc.
Distance to the beach, waterfront, village center and supermarket
The lakeshore of Lake Maggiore with a great, free bathing beach, large lawn (lawn and sand area) and wonderful views can be reached on foot in just 5 minutes, a larger supermarket in 3 minutes, the famous Italian Sunday market in Cannobio in 4 minutes and in the village center ( Old Town) even with the quaint, narrow Italian streets can be reached on foot in 8-9 minutes. Cannobio is a picturesque town with a beautiful lakeside promenade with the old harbor and a variety of shops, restaurants, cafes and bars. The public beach is accessible to everyone free of charge and also has some trees under which you can find shade. This beach is particularly suitable for children as it slopes gently into the water.
Equipment of the campsite
The family-run campsite Camping del Sole, where you can also communicate very well in German if necessary, is extremely modern, ideal for families with children as well as for older people who also like to enjoy the peace and quiet and still have some community want. The campsite (and we too) are dog-friendly - there are just a few rules that need to be followed with your four-legged friends in order to ensure hygiene.
The campsite has a huge swimming pool (25 x 12 m) with free sunbeds and parasols, which is usually open from mid-May to the end of September - weather permitting. The campsite also has a playground (swings, slide, carousel), snack/bar/pizza service by the pool, table football, table tennis, new heated sanitary facilities - also barrier-free (new in 2017) with hot water throughout. The sanitary facilities (toilets and showers) can be reached on foot within 20 seconds from the mobile home, so very close. In addition: parking spaces within walking distance, free WiFi, washing machines, dryers, an Italian restaurant directly on the campsite (pizza, pasta and Sicilian cuisine - generous portions, very good quality and fair prices), which is even visited by locals from the village, and much more.

Cancellation Policy
Guests who cancel at least 30 days before check-in date will receive a refund of the amount paid by them (excl. Campspace fees). If they cancel between 14 and 30 days before check-in, they will receive a 50% refund. Otherwise they will not be refunded.
