About this campspace

You camp with your own tent in a quiet meadow where sheep sometimes roam. A maximum of 2 tents can stay, a total of 4 adults allowed.
You look out over the agricultural lands and adjacent watercourse, a breeding ground for ducks and meadow birds. Wild pheasants are your closest neighbors. Sometimes our chickens take a stroll through the meadow. So no luxury or amenities, just peace and quiet.
Our island is very suitable for walking and cycling. A unique part of Zeeland with its own identity.
The very simple shower, toilet and sink is in our shed, where you can also meet us.
We respect everyone's privacy and assume that this is mutual. We are always available by telephone.
The car can be parked. PLEASE NOTE: the entrance is on Tichelaarsweg.

Welcome to us to enjoy, just like us, the peace in the polder of Poortvliet. The surroundings of Poortvliet are ideal for peace seekers. Cycling and walking and discovering our island of Tholen and completely relaxing. You can find that with us. The facilities are basic.

  • Walking, cycling. Visit a picking garden. The tidal barges at St Maartensdijk show the underwater life in the Oosterschelde.

  • Cycling through the polders of the island of Tholen. Swimming in the Oosterschelde; Schelphoekje is a top location.

  • The local Spar has everything you need.

  • There are several nice bars and restaurants in Tholen and Bergen op Zoom.
