We were able to stay a wonderful night at this quiet campsite. On arrival we were able to pick a spot ourselves and the host came to visit us automatically. It was quiet at the campsite at the moment, we were there with 4 others, but a total of 25 places can be used on the campsite. The campsite is clean, tidy and surrounded by trees and water. In the high season, a cheese farmer comes by every Friday evening where you can taste cheese and buy wine and beer. This cheese farmer drives a van to the campsite and he likes to talk about his products. In addition to the cheese farmer who comes by, it is also possible to order sandwiches for the next day. There are also several vending machines that are mainly on when the campsite is full. Here you can get many different products such as noodles, snacks, wine and sometimes fresh sandwiches. There is a power point available for every spot that is separately secured, if the plug blows, you can convert it back yourself if no one is there. When you don't actually use electricity, there is a nice covered mobile charging station. These are lockers with chargers where you can charge your phone or tablet. You can take the key with you and charge your phone with peace of mind. The campsite and the surrounding area are super quiet. You can make a fire and use the pedal boats at the back of the campsite. You can also enjoy walking or cycling in the area. We ourselves had forgotten a washing-up brush for the first time, luckily you can use a lot of stuff here. There was dishwashing liquid, soap, washing-up brushes and magazines. Uncle there is the possibility to use a gas stove, we think it is wise to bring a gas bottle yourself. In any case, we enjoyed the conversations with the fellow campers and the host.
How was the contact with the host?
The contact went smoothly. Through the chat we could easily discuss and we even called a few days in advance. On the day of arrival we talked for a while with the host and it is nice to make contact in this way. It is a friendly host who has had this campsite for about 3 years now.
Tips for new guests?
If you like a quiet campsite and environment, this is definitely recommended. Be aware that the host is not always present, sometimes no one is present at all. Fortunately, you can do a lot yourself here and the host will always come to visit you if there is something. You can also call them if there is really something wrong.

It's OK. Went there just for one night so that it was ok. Also it was maybe a little bit weird because there was just one other camper and the owner didn't show up.
How was the contact with the host?
We arrived and nobody was there. A bit later we saw her and talked to her. Also the next day we saw her when we left and she didn't remember us. Idk, if i got a camping i would like to know when i get a booking or when new guests arrive. There was just one other camper at this time so not really busy.
Tips for new guests?
Make sure you have mosquito spray. They got me really bad ;)

Hi Jana,
Thank you for visiting our campsite and the 3 star review with feedback!
The confusion arose because you spoke German and your friend spoke English and I both of you but not together. When you arrived, I had just gone to the store. Our occupation is very variable. Some weekends we are fully booked and some weekends there is room enough. You were lucky that it was very quiet. And the bad luck that there were a lot of mosquitoes
Hopefully see you at camping Lauwersschans
