Experience the warm and cozy atmosphere of Johanna's Bos, a charming mini campsite located in a beautiful emerging (still young) food forest. If you like vast landscapes and panoramic views, you will certainly enjoy our idyllic location in the polder, near the beautiful Amstelmeer.
The Amstelmeer offers a range of water sports options, such as swimming, windsurfing, kitesurfing and sailing. There is also a beautiful route of about 14 km around the lake, ideal for walking or cycling. In addition, Johanna's Bos is centrally located between Schagen and Den Helder, and you can easily go to Texel for a day. Don't forget to explore the former island of Wieringen, which is full of beautiful spots. A visit to Hoenderdeall animal park is recommended for families, and of course a day of relaxation on the beach is always good when the weather is nice.
Tine and Ben, the owners of Johanna's Bos, know the area like no other, because they grew up here and after living in the Randstad for 20 years, they returned to their roots. On the campsite you will find a beautiful new toilet block, which was built last winter. If you want to enjoy a tasty breakfast with fresh rolls, coffee and juice in the morning, let us know and we will arrange it for you (can be done upon arrival). And if you fancy a refreshing Johanna's Beer upon arrival, we'll be happy to help.
Come and discover the beautiful flowers, meadow birds and typical Dutch skies at Johanna's Bos. Book your spot now and we hope you will have a wonderful stay at our campsite!

Hi, I'm Tine van Wel and I run Johanna's Bos together with my husband Ben. We moved back to our roots in 2020 with our three children. Where we bought an old potato yard on the most beautiful part of Anna Paulownapolder and where we transform this place into a creative country estate with a cozy mini-camping! We hope to welcome you with us.

House rules Group Campsite Johanna's Bos:
1. Our reception is open in the morning and in the evening, but we are not always present. You can always get information and register upon arrival. Any subsequent payments can be made on the day of departure between 10 and 11 am at the reception.
2. Campers must adhere to the designated camping spots and are not allowed to set up tents outside these areas.
3. Keep the area clean and throw waste in the designated rubbish bins and recycling containers, which can be found between the sheds.
4. Respect the tranquility of nature and keep the noise level to a minimum in the evening and at night. Making music without amplification is allowed. After 23:00 it is whisper quiet.
5. Open fire and BBQ is prohibited outside the designated fire places and always keep a bucket of water and a shovel at hand. Smoking is only allowed on the camping field and on the central square. The barn is off limits due to the risk of fire and falling.
6. Pets are allowed but must be kept on a lead at all times and must not be a nuisance to the wildlife and birds.
7. Only use biodegradable soap when washing and avoid discharging dirty water into nearby ditches. The correct use of the septic tank is crucial to ensure hygiene on the campsite. Use the toilets only for their intended purpose and do not throw waste into the toilet bowl that is not biodegradable. Do not dispose of tampons, sanitary napkins, diapers, wipes or other non-soluble materials down toilets or drains. These can clog the septic tank and lead to annoying and unhygienic problems.
8. Passenger cars may only be used on the designated paths and roads and must be parked in the parking square at all times.
9. In case of emergency, campers must immediately alert the manager and follow the instructions of the manager or the emergency services.
10. Alcohol and drug abuse are strictly prohibited on the camping site. It is not allowed to consume excessive alcoholic beverages or use drugs in public or in the vicinity of other campers. We want everyone to enjoy a safe and healthy environment. If we suspect someone is breaking this rule, we reserve the right to take appropriate action, including expelling the offender from the campsite.
