So nice to be able to arrive so relaxed... it was the last stop of my road trip... wonderful to be able to park my van anywhere on the lawn where there was plenty of space. 5 minutes after arrival I immediately had a nice Belgian beer in my hand and a nice conversation with dear Eline.. The chickens, the puppy and the fresh eggs and the tranquility made everything complete! I also love all the nice details and texts!

I would wholeheartedly recommend staying here to anyone that is looking for a nice scenic location to unwind.

I came as a solo traveler looking to disconnect from technology and city life for a weekend. The location is superb, with stunning sunsets to fall asleep to. it is in a rural area but in close proximity to shops. By bike, you can reach Brugges, Oostende and nature reserves.

The property itself is very cool, it has full of upcycled objects, a stone campfire, hot tub and a greenhouse. The campsite is spaceous, it can be private but equally nice for solo travellers looking to mingle with travelers.

You can rent a bike for a small fee and buy some drinks and snacks - They make their own walnut liquor (to die for!).

The hosts are superb, they are accomodating, full of tips and happy to chat with you. They have friendly dogs, cute cats and chickens that walk with sass.

- Try their walnut liquor (homemade from their tree). It makes for a nice gift to bring home to friends and family.

-Hire a bike and cycle around the ''Vloethemveld'' nature preserve - Have a picnic and read a book. If motivated, cycle up to the coast!!

Our journey led directly from Brussels to Aartrijke. The site is cordoned off with an electric gate. The terrain is easy to drive on and has enough space. The place was freely selectable. The toilet is inside the old building. Farm eggs, homemade jam, local beer and much more can also be bought there. Our booked breakfast on Saturday and Sunday was awesome! The welcome was very friendly and heartfelt by the mother, brother and Eline. Inquiries are answered quickly. We gratefully accepted daily tips (on paper and Google maps) where it was good. Families with children are very welcome and happy to be here. Eline is a great landlady with a heart.

Families will certainly feel at home and have enough space on the fenced area and even a play box. Breakfast (weekends only) is a must.
