About this campspace

Discover the Westerwolde region in East Groningen. It is here where the Battle of Heiligerlee was fought in 1568, the start of the 80 Years' War and the creation of the Netherlands.
Here you can get away from all the hustle and bustle and get back to yourself, time to think but at the same time enjoying the simple outdoor life, walking, good food and drinks and relaxing.
We have furnished our house, but especially the shed and garden, according to the Swedish "Lagom" idea: not too much, not too little, but just enough to make you feel comfortable.
In our Pipi car (no typo) / cabin you can experience all this for a night or a weekend and also get the Swedish feeling.
Adding a hiking tent for the kids is no problem.
Are you coming with more (adult) people? Several private sleeping places can be arranged in the comfortable barn.
Simply furnished, no luxury: double bed, sitting area, kettle, senseo, electric heater, outdoor furniture.
There is information available for a pleasant trip, for walking/cycling/car.
You can be in Germany within 10 minutes, also nice for an outing, a restaurant or shopping.
In The Swedish House (a large comfortable barn in the well-known Swedish colour) there is material for carving soapstone, painting, playing games, there are jigsaw puzzles and a pool table, or you can light your own campfire and have a BBQ. or smoke your own fish.

In combination with the use of Het Zweden Huis, very suitable for the artist who wants to isolate herself for a while for inspiration and creation.

In the winter months it can be cold, so the wood stove in the barn is not an unnecessary luxury, but it is nice... hence a contribution of 10 euros per night to the rate, optional and in consultation.

Perfect for...

peace seeker, hiker, cyclist, canoeist, fisherman, stargazer
