Camping area is just 100 metres away from a safe quiet sea , with a fairly private ever changing beach on the firth of Thames .. as well as the magnificent Pohutukawa lined coastal highway heading up to Coromandel town, with plenty of gorgeous bays to pull over and fish , gather seafood, and beach comb for natural treasures, Tararu offers access to some of the most amazing bush walks with incredible waterfall/ waterholes along with old gold mine sites dotted along the way.. there is a Buddhist retreat (sudashanaloka) nearby with a Stupa , offering meditation courses and workshops at times.. Tararu is an easy walk in to town (4ks) with all amenities
