Animal camping at the quarry stone cottage

Fancy a nice little campsite just for you right in front of a quarry stone cottage from 1892?
Lots of cats, my dogs and the two billy goats welcome you to our garden. It feels as idyllic as "in the village" but is still quite centrally located. You have a level, protected piece of green lawn below my quarry stone house and you can go directly to the basement through the hillside of the house, which has a small shower, a toilet and a small kitchen.

Right in the middle and yet somewhere else 😊

That is the motto that defines the location of my garden in idyllic Essen-Werden, right on Lake Baldeney and the Ruhr. You can get almost as far as the garden by bus and at the same time you can walk to Baldeneysee in about 15 minutes. Sailing, stand up paddling, windsurfing, rowing, inline skating around the lake, hiking or cycling, everything is possible here in a wonderfully green environment.

Perfect for...

Hikers, pilgrims, cyclists, couples, solo travellers, animal lovers, nature lovers, water sports enthusiasts, those interested in culture, people who like to get together and "have a beer"

Your host, Regine

My name is Regine, I have lived in this idyllic quarry stone house for 12 years now and I am very happy to be able to make it accessible to guests. Since I've been living here, I've had a lot of animal roommates (about 10 free-roaming cats, 2 dogs and 2 goats). I love to live the way I want and I also convey this in my freelance work as a home psychologist and artist.

Rules

Essen-Werden is very sensitive to hearing because it is very quiet in the evenings, so please keep quiet after 10:00 p.m.

Since there are already a lot of animals living here, it is unfortunately not possible to bring your own animals. Because of the billy goats, the site is only recommended for older children who are very calm and loving with the animals.
