We are going to transform 1.5ha of pasture into new nature, probably part of a food forest.
Your host, Gaëlle
We are Thierry and Gaëlle, the owners and hosts of 'Lodge op de Berg'. Doing business in residential tourism started in 2014 at the breakfast table with our first guest from South Africa. This was the incentive to give further shape and content to our adventure. And so we did, with a Tipi as the first step. We wanted to offer our guests a special experience in nature, with the comfort of a hotel room. In 2018 and 2021 we took a bigger step and converted outbuildings into two unique lodges and gradually the common thread of our story became apparent: building a mini country estate where new nature is developed as a foundation for sustainable tourism, in which our guests reconnect with nature in a special way. We are currently investigating the feasibility of converting our 1.5 hectare meadow into an edible food forest. The camping spot is provided on this meadow.
GENERAL HOUSE RULES
Lodge op de Berg cannot be held liable for theft, accidents or damage that occurred during the stay on the domain, except when this is the result of a gross shortcoming, which is attributable to him. In the event of cancellation due to force majeure such as war, strike, natural disasters, extraordinary weather conditions, death of the owner, etc., the lessor can dissolve the agreement without compensation. When, through no fault of the landlord, the agreement is dissolved, the tenant is entitled to an equivalent or better alternative or the refund of the part of the rent already paid. Obvious errors and mistakes in a publication are not binding on the lessor.
Lodge op de Berg has the right to inspect the camping spot during the rental period.
If the tenant (his family members, his guests or permitted visitors) does not comply with the obligations under the terms and conditions and the house rules, the landlord has the right to terminate the agreement with immediate effect, and to deny the tenant and co-tenants access to the domain, without refund of rent. This includes emphatically not respecting the night's rest (silence after 10 pm) or causing unnecessary nuisance.

4. Pets are not allowed.
5. If the tenant discovers a damage or shortcoming after arrival at the domain, he will report this to us immediately.
If damage or shortcomings occur during the stay, the tenant must notify us as soon as possible. Any actions can then be taken immediately so that the consequences, any consequential damage and nuisance remain minimal (both for the tenant and for the next guests). The tenant is liable for the damage caused by him, even if this damage is only established after his departure.
Guests who cancel at least 30 days before check-in date will receive a refund of the amount paid by them (excl. Campspace fees). If they cancel between 14 and 30 days before check-in, they will receive a 50% refund. Otherwise they will not be refunded.
