Minicamping Mortels Buiten is located in the rural wooded area of De Mortel in the municipality of Gemert Bakel.

Camping between the standard fruit trees, apples, cherries, stewed pears, pears, plums. In addition to the blossom or other beautiful flowers, there are also many birds, butterflies and bees that come to sniff. The falcons that hang in the air and in the evening the bats that fly around. Then you can hear the woodpecker tapping and the rooster crowing. Start the morning with a farm-fresh egg from our chickens. And then there are the big rabbits to pet. Peace and space around us, you are in the middle of the countryside but still close to the villages. Barbecues are allowed and there is also a campfire place.

The Stipberg nature reserve is our backyard. Hiking in the area is very nice and fun. Also many cycling routes that you can start from the campsite. With the engine out, you'll be in Germany or Belgium in no time, plenty of options for a nice ride.

In the nearby villages Gemert, Bakel, Deurne, Helmond on the beautiful squares you can enjoy the many terraces.

We live wonderfully outside in a former long gable farmhouse. We have a nice piece of land where people can camp. We have many flowers around the field and in the center. Especially for bees and butterflies. But the crickets also love it.
We hope you can enjoy it too, of course.

There is a mobile home that may be used. It has a neat shower and a normal toilet. There is a kitchenette with hot water for easy washing up. There is also a small refrigerator and microwave.

We also have 2 dogs, 5 cats, 1 rooster and 12 chickens and 3 German Giants. At the moment also chicks and young rabbits.

Nice if you visit us, and just like us can enjoy the peace and the animals around you. Waking up of the rooster, the sound of the crickets and of course the many birds. We also have fresh eggs every day.
You're welcome!

We really loved this place, the dogs were allowed to roam freely in the lovely garden, made a campfire every night, nothing was a problem

How was the contact with the host?
Karin and bert are really super nice! We were more than satisfied!

Tips for new guests?
If you really like relaxed camp managers the place to stay is a new shower complex being built with a cafe there so that will be really great

The stay was fine! The owners were very welcoming and helpful. Nice environment where we could do what we came for, namely light a campfire with our nephews. Sanitary is dated but sufficient.

We enjoyed our stay. Nice place on the edge of the Stippleberg and between the fields with maize. They are nice people and in the evening we made a nice campfire with the children. The shower and toilet are in a mobile home and that is quite dated, but clean so no problem. (There will be a new barn with sanitary facilities.) As far as we are concerned 4 stars!

Karin and Bert live together with their son Koert between the farmlands. There is a lot of space in their garden. Everyone is welcome here, with a caravan, camper van or a tent. If you don't have one, you can even spend the night in the mobile home.
They have 2 lovely dogs Baloe and Spike and are happy to welcome guests with dogs. The dogs are not allowed to be on a leash, but are allowed to run loose in this place.
There are various facilities that you can use. If you come to camp and do not have your own sanitary facilities, you can use a sober shower and toilet. There are also various play equipment and a swimming pool that children can use, but under the watchful eye of an adult. There is a fireplace where a fire may be lit.
There is plenty to do in the area, such as walking or cycling through the forest of the Stipberg, a visit to the farmers' union museum, or just lazing around on the campsite. It's all possible.

A camp space where there is much to experience. Swimming pool, playground, dogs and chickens. It gives a bit of a mini camping feeling, but more primitive. Shower and toilet in an old mobile home.

Lovely rural place to stay, you have to love dogs though. Didn't bother us. Toilet and shower are tiny but available. Basic but suited us for the weekend:)
