A wonderful stay at the campsite belonging to the B&B La Tourelle. If you like a quiet, small campsite, this is a nice place. A small campsite, with a nice toilet block and washing-up area.
If you like walking, cycling, touring by car and relaxing, this is a top spot.
You can order your breakfast from the owners and you can also join the dinner that is served in the B&B.

How was the contact with the host?
Very good! A friendly family who works in the B&B. Helpful and welcoming!

What a beautiful place, there in Colombotte. Spacious camping spots, quiet location, no annoying noise from highways or industry, in short, a perfect place to stay peacefully.

We would go there again.

There are no facilities for children, so there are mainly couples on this site.

Although it is advertised with 6 places, the owner uses the standard of 6 places with 4 people per place = 24 people maximum. In our case there were 11 tents / campers on the site, which puts a little more pressure on sanitary facilities and the refrigerator and some more cars on the site. We have not had much trouble because all guests who come, they come for the peace and quiet and are also quiet.

The sanitary facilities consist of 3 cells, 2 cells with shower, sink and toilet and 1 cell only with sink and toilet. Is neatly kept clean.

For the sanitary building: cables and water pipes run criss-cross along ceilings and walls, some cables are connected with terminal blocks and not everything is electrically grounded. A sanitary cell, the walls are not yet finished. You could say it's not quite finished yet, but it's already in use.

Just a minute's walk away (on the B&B property of the owner) is an above-ground swimming pool available where you can take a refreshing dip, in the neighboring village of Saulx you can go to 2 bakeries and Vesoul is ~15 km away for daily shopping ( Super U / Cora / Aldi).

We had a great time, definitely recommended for campers who like small-scale camping and beautiful surroundings.

How was the contact with the host?
Excellent contact with the owner, tips about the environment and explanation about do's and don'ts on the campsite.

Tips for new guests?
Opt for a high pitch on this small campsite (for morning and afternoon shade), the low pitches offer little protection from the sun.

For 21 years, Tim and Mirjam have owned the B&B LR Tourelle in Colombotte. Since 2 years, the campsite la Fontaine has been added, which together with Tim is managed by Bernadette, Mirjam's sister. Bernadette has all kinds of fun plans for the campsite (a tea garden, small retreats), but it's not that far yet. The campsite is currently still under construction. Basically there are 6 places, and per 2 places you have a bathroom, don't expect luxury, but the shower is really super nice!! If you don't feel like cooking, you can join the Table d'hôtes in the B&B on reservation. And if you know that Tim is a cook, then you'll be fine with that meal! You can enjoy walking and cycling in the area and the towns in the area are fun to visit. For children there may be less to do. At night it is super quiet.

Nice quiet place. Simple plumbing. Delicious eaten at Tim & Mirjam.

How was the contact with the host?
Bit rusty in the beginning due to a miscommunication but it was nice to see that Tim was flexible in the solution.

Tips for new guests?
Nice stay-over en route to the south of France.

Ideal for those who love peace and quiet. Nice pool, sanitary basic but cleaning could be better

Not very cordial, they are very busy

Too bad you didn't like it so much and didn't like me very much, I'm really trying my best ;)
It is indeed busy in the high season and I clean the sanitary facilities once a day. It is of course also expected that the campers leave the sanitary facilities for each other a bit tidy and unfortunately not everyone does that.....
Greetings Tim
