"Veldzicht" - a great remote camping spot

4.83 (42 reviews) Verified Drouwenerveen, Drenthe, Netherlands #s002233

About this campspace

We are Coronaproof - our guests have their own sanitary facilities.

It's just pure here, like you're camping in the wild. This Campspace is intended for people who want to relax. So come wild camping in my big backyard. A beautiful view from the tent is assured. I'd also like to show you the food forest—a piece of land with fruit and nut trees that I'm now building in my garden.

Located in the old peat bogs of Drenthe, you have a view of the wide fields. On the west side of the Hunze is the Hondsrug. With the Drouwenerzand. An old shifting sand area with juniper berries and old forests. You can take a walk on the Boomkroonpad, visit dolmens and visit the Hunebedmuseum nearby. A beautiful nature reserve can be found at the Ruiten Aa on the east side of the peat colonies. A visit to the Bourtange fortress is also very interesting.

You can also (depending on the season) buy fresh asparagus and blueberries from the neighbour's farm.
