Five Fours Upper Bunkhouse campsite near the giant Sequoias
About this micro camping
Three rivers is more of a small village than a town, where both the longtime and new residents are friendly and welcoming. Our hillside property consists of 2.25 serene stepped acres located just 2 miles from the entrance to the Sequoia & Kings Canyon National Parks. Five Fours camp is very easy to find. Our driveway spills directly out onto Sierra drive, the road leading through town and into the parks. You can hear the sounds of the river flowing across the street below. Unfortunately, we don't have river access.
My wife Elizabeth and I bought our home in 2015 after falling in love with the hillside log cabin and its fantastic mountain views! Our beloved dog Ruby was rescued shortly afterward and has been chasing the deer off the property ever since! We can still sometimes spot them on our property while she is napping! In addition to deer, we have seen turkeys, raven, hawks, fox, bob cats, coyotes and bear crossing an animal highway along our upper property line above the campsites. We built Quail hides (a bunch of branches tossed into a big pile) and they have prospered - we have many generations running around here! We also have hummingbird feeders and birdbaths to attract many drinkers and bathers; so there are many winged friends living on and around our property!
Needless to say, we are animal friendly and don't charge extra for you to bring your dog(s) for the night. Our dog Ruby, a Black Mouth Cur, loves people and animals large and small and looks forward to meeting you and yours!
This listing is for the Upper Bunkhouse campsite - which has an even better view of Ash mountain, Moro Rock and the snow capped Sierra mountains than our main house does! This site is on the same level as our host home and the shared bathroom, located on the other side of the bunkhouse. The outdoor shower - almost complete - is located on the lower Corral campsite level.
This campsite also includes the use of a huge deck! It has it's own propane BBQ & BBQ cooking utensils, a picnic table and garbage can. The site is designed for a maximum of 4 people or 2 tents, you can either pitch your tents on the ground or up on the deck!

This listing is for the upper bunkhouse campsite. We have 2 sites available on different levels that share one bathroom. The bathroom is on the same level as this campsite; but up a set of stairs - so it is not wheelchair accessible. The bathroom has a proper flushing toilet and sink with running cold water. We provide toilet paper (ok to flush) and paper towels (ONLY disposable in the provided garbage cans, please!). The bathroom also provides liquid hand soap, a mirror and various hooks and shelves for your convenience. We are currently building an outdoor shower that should be done any day now. Campfires are not legal most of the year here. We do provide a propane BBQ and BBQ cooking utensils. The BBQ also has a side burner for "normal" cooking.
We pride ourselves on providing a quiet and natural environment with daily wildlife sightings. This is not a destination for loud music or late night parties.
We are animal friendly! Bring your sociable dog(s)! Please note: our property is NOT fenced and the main road is below the campsite; so you may need to leash your dog if they like to roam. We don't charge extra for your dog to stay with you; however they can't stay at the campsite unattended. They let you into the park with your dog BUT NOT ON ANY TRAILS, so they will otherwise have to stay in the car. You can book me for "dog sitting" while you are exploring the park during the day. Please inquire about booking dog sitting when you book your campsite!
