Just across the border at Winterswijk, in the middle of a nature reserve, our large private forest, with two fully equipped, spacious camping pitches, is located at a considerable distance from each other.
In the large, fully furnished 2-person tunnel tent, everything is available, from a (very) fully equipped kitchen area, double-thick air mattress, refrigerator, coffee maker and kettle, to a nice warm outdoor shower and private toilet. There is also a good barbecue.
Our luxurious, large caravan is absolutely wonderful! With complete kitchen with oven, microwave and refrigerator, a bathroom with shower and toilet, a double bed, TV, DVD, Radio, everything is there. In the colder months the stove burns nicely, so you are welcome all year round.
Outside there is a lounge set under an awning, there is a nice dining table and of course also a large bbq!
To complete your stay you can hire a lovely sauna, which is highly recommended!

Both camping pitches offer 100% privacy and plenty of space, peace and quiet.
The area is ideal for a nice walk or a nice bike ride. But with a good book in the hammock is also wonderfully relaxing. Waking up in the morning by the many birds, in the evening nice and warm by a crackling campfire (only at the tent) enjoying the afterglow of the day. That is pure vacation!!!
The camping pitches are adult only and pets are not allowed. Naturist stays are allowed. Free Wifi and basic amenities such as toilet paper and washing up liquid are provided.

We are Rianne and Roger, both 50+. We are nature lovers and real outdoors people. We have been living for over 17 years in a lovely place in the middle of the forest, just across the German border near Winterswijk. We really like to let others enjoy our beautiful place in nature.
We both work in healthcare. We also have a small company (Wellness-on-Wheels.nl) with which we rent out a mobile sauna and caravan. If desired, this is also possible on our site.
As a former forest ranger, Roger likes to take you on a beautiful nature walk and tells about everything there is to see around you.

Our stay at this Campspace was one of the best and most relaxing holidays we’ve ever had. Roger & Rianne have been fantastic hosts, they were extremely helpful, very passionate about what they do and truly welcoming. The tent was fully equipped, we had everything we needed. There was a cosy fireplace and the possibility to barbecue. We saw all sorts of animals, like rabbits and deers, and woke up to the sound of birds. We can only recommend this place for anyone who is looking to spend some time in nature.

How was the contact with the host?
Excellent. They were very responsive and happy to show us around.

Tips for new guests?
We loved the nature walk. It is a must do when you are there and you might see some deers.

This was delicious! We really really enjoyed it.

We were warmly welcomed by Rianne and Roger on arrival. They gave us a little tour and took us to our tent, which really has everything. A 2 person air mattress, a gas stove to cook on, there was water with and without sparkles and what was perhaps the best thing, the outdoor shower! Really delicious! So fully equipped. The only thing we had to bring with us was our bedding and olive oil would have been handy, but we could even borrow those haha! And with the temperatures of last week it was wonderful that there are plenty of swimming opportunities in the area :)!

We did the 'You don't know what you see' walk with Rianne and Roger. Roger has a past as a forester and can really tell you everything you see around you. In addition, Rianne can tell you everything about the herbs and plants in the area. It was a very nice, educational and beautiful walk. The walk is about 5 km and during the walk you learn everything about the nature you walk through. From the types of coniferous trees to the organic chicken farmer and, as a highlight, spotting wild animals. We have seen deer grazing in the field and rabbits jumping in the grass and all this during a beautiful sunset. Thanks for that!

Unfortunately we were only there for 2 nights, so we didn't get to see everything. Rianne and Roger thank you so much for this wonderful stay, we will definitely come back!

What an oasis! Of nature, peace, space and above all a holiday feeling.
Via a forest path we walked to our private place hidden between the trees. The spacious tent with all the trimmings was waiting for us there. (Good 2p luxury air mattress) Lazing in the hammock, showered outside, reclined in the garden chair. And this while we were surrounded by birds, (3 species of woodpeckers, buzzards, nuthatches, etc.), squirrels, trees...beautiful. We even spotted deer while we were sitting at the table :) We ate delicious fresh trout -with fresh herbs (tip) from the garden- on the bbq and in the evening we enjoyed our own fire. It was just enjoying.

How was the contact with the host?
Excellent! Rianne and Roger, you are interested and nice hosts who really welcomed us. You have found the right balance between having a chat but also allowing space. You respected our privacy, so the place quickly became our own place, Communication went smoothly and questions were answered quickly. Excellent so 😊 We felt at home and would like to come back.

Tips for new guests?
Just book. You don't often come across such a hidden gem.
Tips:
Book the sauna: delicious
Toilet paper, herbs, shower gel, washing up liquid, kitchen/tea towel are provided.
There is also a small fridge.

It was extremely peaceful and relaxing. The nature there was beautiful. Watching the birds and squirrels feed from the comfort of a hammock is great. The local town of Velen is a 5min drive for local shops and restaurants. There are plenty of walks to be had and deer to be seen. I would definitely go there again without hesitation.

How was the contact with the host?
Rianne and Roger were the perfect hosts. They made sure everything was there for us. They checked to see if everything was OK and even bought my daughter a present for her birthday, which was lovely (that was the reason for our trip) Good clear contact and so so friendly.
