For wild swimmers, there is the river Teign (1/4 mile) and the best pool in the river is about 3/4 mile from Clifford Bridge nearby, or drive to Fingle Bridge (3 miles), where there is deep pool swimming a mile up the river from there.
Stargazing / bird watching there are no street lights and light pollution is low. There are many varieties of flora and fauna, so don't forget to bring your camera, binoculars or telescope.

Nice and friendly people, beautiful relaxing spot. We even had the chance to witness the feeding moment of the ponies and pet them.
How was the contact with the host?
Friendly hosts. A bit odd that we had to sign additional papers, but no complaints.

We try not to have rules, because we want you to enjoy yourselves but we hold the following tenets to be self-evident:
Please keep radio volumes down. Musical instruments are allowed but not electric guitars. Please let us know if you want a huge party, so we can warn our neighbours.
Dogs: If well behaved. Pooper scooping required. Dogs must be kept under control so that they do not chase our animals, ponies or cats.
Fires/BBQ: Yes but not in severe drought because of surrounding forest. Please bring/collect your own wood fom the forest or if you use firewood from anywhere on our premises, there is a charge of £5 per night.
Recycling: please take your refuse home with you but if this is not feasible there are separate bins for Glass, Tins and plastic milk bottles and landfill, which the local council requires to be sorted on pain of refusal to take it away.
