Tent
We have a beautiful garden separate from our house that provides a unique camping experience with sea views and fantastic walks and beaches nearby.
The camping garden is level and grassy with 2 apple trees. It is bordered by a hedge and a barn where a beautiful barn owl lives (we call her Sylvie.) You will probably see her! The camping garden has sea views and often you can hear the waves because, although it is a 20-minute walk, Loe Bar has a vast shingle shore. There is a fire pit in the garden that you are welcome to use. Our place is very quiet as it is situated approx. 700m down a lane. We are bordered by fields and woods.
We have space for tents only – there are approximately 4
pitches (depending on tent size).
You will be able to use the wc that is outside (and behind) our house. You will park up by our house as there is no driving onto the garden (you can unload on the drive right next to it though.) There is a wheelbarrow you can use to help with this. There is a bathroom with shower inside our house that campers are welcome to use between 8.30am-10am and 6-7.30pm (though we can be flexible about this).
In the pretty courtyard there is a studio equipped with sofas, kettle and electricity that you will be able to use. There is also a sink in there (cold water only) that you can use. Please note that the studio is, ordinarily, a shared space. If you would like to book it for your own private party – please enquire. There is also a table tennis table and trampoline in one of our barns that you are welcome to enjoy. (Please supervise children at all times.)
Very near to the camping garden is a path ‘the hollow way’ which leads to woods, a pretty stream, Loe Pool and on to Loe beach (20-25 min walk). Church Cove (for swimming) is a 7-minute drive. We are a 7-minute drive from Helston with large supermarkets. A 45-minute walk along the coast path will take you to Porthleven – a picturesque harbour with great pubs and restaurants. Falmouth is a 25 minute drive.
