Welcome to your private sun meadow. The well-kept meadow, which is exclusively available to a camper, is part of the property of our house (former forester's house) and is over 500 square meters in size. It is mowed weekly and offers you a unique view of Engen and the Hohenhewen. For 2023 we are setting up a paved path as a parking space on the meadow. (WiFi) and electricity is available. Make a campfire and enjoy the tranquility of nature. A fire bowl, a swivel grill and free wood are at your disposal. Drinking water can be bottled by us. Outside there is access with a hose to our cistern (rainwater). No toilet/shower. In the carport next to the meadow, a 230V socket is available on request for a daily fee of €3. E-cars can be charged at our wall box during the day for a fee of 40 ctkWh. In the morning you can buy fresh bread, eggs, vegetables etc. directly from the producer in the farm shop of the neighboring farm.
Hiking tours and activities: Start hikes to the Ice Age Park Engen directly from the parking space. You can also hike from here to Hohenhewen and thus tackle the new premium hiking trail "Hegau Vulkan Tour". We also have very good conditions for cycling. Lake Constance and Constance can be easily reached via very nice side routes and you can alternatively use the very good train connection back (Radolfzell - Engen from 19 minutes). You can reach the Rhine Falls in Schaffhausen by car in just under 30 minutes. You can reach the Engen adventure pool in 5 minutes by bike.
If you want to explore the Hegau and Lake Constance for a few days, you will find the perfect starting point with us!

We are a family of four (Sonja, I and the two boys Sebastian and Moritz) who love the quiet but also the activities in our great nature of the Hegau. We are happy to help our guests with tips of any kind and can also help out with kitchen utensils or tools. Our little Bodeguero Figo also belongs to the family, who accompanies us at every step and actually quickly takes everyone to his heart

On arrival we found a lovely, quiet, large spot with a beautiful view over the meadows and the adjacent town. We chose a spot not very far from the host's house, but because of the tall trees you have an enormous privacy experience and freedom.
How was the contact with the host?
Both by phone and face-to-face with the whole family was especially warm and welcoming. Eric came here and there to check if everything was still to your liking and takes the time for a nice chat or to give tips about the area. Nice people!
Tips for new guests?
There is a farm shop where everything organic comes directly from the land. The train station is a 15-minute walk away, as is the beautiful Altstadt of Engen. Absolutely worth it.

The place is beautiful! We stood on a meadow with a direct view of the Hohenhewen - the local mountain of Engen and after which the Hegau was named.
It was very quiet and we warmed up by the fire during a great sunset.
The next morning we went shopping in the farm shop of the neighboring farm. There you can get fresh bread, eggs, vegetables etc. directly from the producer.

Eric and his family are very helpful!
He is very knowledgeable about the area and gave us some tips for things to do.
Tips for new guests?
Early in the morning, when it's still cool, start straight from the parking space and hike up the Hohenhewen. We walked, but estimate the time required to reach the summit at about 2 hours at a normal pace.
Take a look at the old town on the way back and get fresh rolls from the bakery or farm shop.
Those who have bicycles with them can also make beautiful trips to Lake Constance. Radolfzell is about 1.5 hours away by bike.
