About this campspace

We offer a cosy, homely garden in the London village of Ladywell. We've got the advantages of being within 20 minutes of central London, without the noise!

We've been offering a little campspace in London for several years now, and we were "early adopters" on the old campinmygarden website - unfortunately it did not port over the positive feedback we had from campers on that site.

There's drinking water and free access to WiFi, as well as free access via a secure side gate so you can come and go as you wish.
When we're in you're welcome to use the bathroom facilities (shower or bath) and make yourself tea and coffee in the kitchen.

It's a lovely peaceful area, close to plenty of open green space - Hilly Fields with a stone circle and Pistachios cafe, and Ladywell Fields with the river Ravensbourne and cafe.
Ladywell Village is less than 5 minutes walk away, with plenty of amenities.
There's a great local pub, the Ladywell Tavern that does good food and drink at reasonable prices, artisan pizza at Mama Dough as well as a French patisserie Le Delice and great coffee at Cafe Oscars.
Local supermarkets, post office, greasy spoon caff, posh deli and a range of local takeaways including fish and chips and good local Indian restaurant are all there.

Ten minutes walk away is the market town centre with daily markets and a wide range of shops.

Ladywell station is a 5 minute walk away, with trains into London Bridge, Waterloo East, Charing Cross and Canon street taking about 10-15 minutes every 15-30 minutes (depending on time of day/day of week).
Lewisham train station is a 15 minute walk away, with trains into London Victoria as well, plus DLR connections, and a more regular service.
There are several night bus routes from central London into Lewisham and Ladywell.
There's plenty of space for bicycle or motorbike storage in the garden.

For a small additional charge, you can hire a tent and camping mat. Crockery and cutlery, towels, golf umbrella and other creature comforts can be arranged on request.

Free on-street parking between 7pm and 9am. Permits may be arranged for other times.

There is space only for a smaller tent, (please check tent dimensions) if you have any questions, please message me. We're not a big commercial site, just people looking to share their space with some visitors.

We are proud Londoners, living and working here for ten years. We know the city well and can give you tips on your stay.
We also love to camp in our canvas bell tent with our little dog.
We are a chosen family of 4 adults, and we like peaceful camping with a cosy campfire. We like exploring cities, and resting quietly in nature. Our dog is very quiet and friendly.

Tips

  • A village within a stone's throw to London

  • A short cycle to Greenwich
