Dear Guest

Here is some information about the Fairytale Forest and our fine outdoor area.

We have 3 shelters in our outdoor living area. A small and two large MEGA shelters made of solid timber spruce. They are all around the campfire site.

The small shelter is called Corvus and is for 6-7 adults - children more. The first-come, first-served principle applies here. Cannot be booked or reserved.

The two MEGA shelters are called Buteo and Milvus and are each for groups of 9-10 adults - children more.

Corvus means crow, Buteo means buzzard and Milvus means kite, which are some of the birds of prey we have in the area.

There is a fire place with swing grill grate and suspension, benches, nice table and bench sets, solar cell lamps and electrical sockets by Corvus for charging a mobile phone.

Maximum 2 nights at a time.

Tents are also allowed around Elverhøj and the shelters.

Shelter accommodation per. person DKK 100 per nat incl. bath and use of the facilities of the Fairy Forest. Children under one year free.

You can check into the booked shelter from kl. 11 and must be away from the shelter on check-out day before kl. 10.

The fairytale forest is open from 10-16 and occasionally we hold events such as troll day, Skt. His for the little ones (and big ones), children's birthdays, class events etc.

The fairytale forest is a private initiative based on volunteering and support on a private area owned by the farm Kildevang. It started with an idea and a large meadow.
In 2016, Eventyrskoven officially opened and we continue to develop to make it even better for our guests.

The shelters have received grants from Friluftsrådet, Meyerdonationen, LAG, Naturstyrelsen, private and other foundations. The heroes of good hope are built by volunteers, scouts, the role-playing association KIMBRI and not least by us who own the farm.

The fairytale forest has a sensory path, nature playground with motor challenges, picnic area with tables and barbecue, orchard, Nissen's house, Mosekonen's arrow hut, Heksens hus, Troldens bro, Elverhøj and Fairy tale room with toilet and bathing facilities, first aid, changing area and electric kettle. The entrance fee to Eventyrskoven is DKK 50 per person. person - however free of charge for children under 1 year. This price is included in the shelter accommodation price.

We stand by ourselves, sometimes with volunteers, for maintenance, cleaning, mowing the lawn, etc. but do not make a living from it. The income we receive goes exclusively to expenses in the Fairytale Forest and improvements.
We do a lot to keep the area neat and for the benefit of our guests.
The next project is to get the Adventure Tower finished, buy gear boxes, expand the nature playground and make a kind of outdoor kitchen in the outdoor area.

Good to know:
There is drinking water up on the toilets in the Fairytale Room as well
toilet and bathing facilities with red first aid kit and changing area
Beware of fire. Always follow fire department regulations. There is a fire blanket hanging in the Buteo shelter
Firewood can be bought per. bag or eco-disposable grill for DKK 50. Available at a firewood shed up by the insect hotel / orchard
Dogs on a leash allowed and leftovers must be included
Motorized vehicles must be in the parking lot, unless otherwise agreed
Clean up after use. Leave the area neatly
Garbage at the talking trash can in a bag
Cigarette butts in their containers by the talking rubbish bin and by the door to the Fairy Tale Room. Never in nature or on the campfire site
No traffic on the shelter's roof or private area
There must be calm at 22 for the sake of our wildlife

Good behavior is expected :-)

We hope that Eventyrskovens shelters provide a wonderful experience with nature and outdoor life.

Enjoy
