What you can find in the area

    Blagdon and Chew Valley lakes are large reservoirs with varied bird populations and good trout fishing

    Weston super Mare is a big seaside town with a large pier and several sandy beaches. Sand Beach is the quietest, Uphill Beach is best for dogs. Brean has a big water park next to the beach.
  • River or stream

    River Yeo runs from Blagdon lake down to the sea at Clevedon. There are a couple of wild swimming spots and you can hire kayaks or SUPs to travel along the river around Congresbury.

    Bristol is a 20 minute drive away and Bath is about 30 minutes both with huge amounts of history and lots of things to do and see.

    Rowberrow forest is a 10 minute walk away with lovely walks along the streams to the top of the Mendip hills. There are great mountain bike trails(MTB). You can hire a bike or guide locally.

We recycle all of your waste food, glass, plastic, tins, paper and card via separate recycling bins. We provide soaps and cleaning materials that are good for the environment and without plastics. Our compost toilet does not use any water. The hotwater is heated by our solar panelling. We are rewilding some of our land using local native plants to provide wildlife corridors for animals and plants. Our wood fuels are sustainable and grown here. All the food and drink we provide is produced locally. We can cater for a variety of diets so just ask.
