About this campspace #s001735

Your host

Ann

My house is located just outside Bruges in a rural area, the Lage Moere. From here you can discover the polders with the picturesque villages, or drive to the sea. And of course visit the historic city of Bruges.
You reach the camping site via a road that leads to the very back of the site, where you look out on an idyllic landscape.
For the car / camper or other means of transport there is parking at the beginning of the road. So please note: the camper/caravan cannot be parked at the camping spot!!! For those who want to make a campfire: there are no longer any large logs for sale, but there is still free firewood.

Welcome!
Ann

Almost 9 years ago, I started a care farm in the house in the Lage Moere. Under the umbrella of vzw Speling. We have a special trajectory for children and young people who have difficulties with their education/school. With vzw Speling we also have a theater project and a choir. I am also a journalist and so of course I am quite fond of writing and reading.
It is a gift to be able to live in the middle of nature here in the Lage Moere, and that is also the reason that I do not want to keep this just for myself.

Pure nature, no possibility of car at the tent .. lug to location all the way in the back. Owner gave permission to stand in the garden in his absence.

The location is beautiful! If you are looking for peace and quiet, this is the ideal place. The area is also beautiful and ideal for walkers and cyclists. We would like to come back, but not for too long because there is no shower.

How was the contact with the host?
Ann answers all your questions quickly. In her absence, someone else received us.

Tips for new guests?
If you need a shower, it's best to plan a stopover somewhere.

Glad you're coming back! For the shower: there is a camping shower (black bag with hose) but unfortunately I don't always mention that. For campers staying longer than two nights, they can use the bathroom with shower on the first floor. I will also be happy to open the bathroom for those who really need it.

Very nice campspace 15 minutes from the city center. It‘s private and in the nature with many cute animals and pets. It‘s possible to make a bonfire and you have your own toilet. We enjoyed our stay very much.

How was the contact with the host?
Ann was very friendly and helping. She was generous and gave us tips for Brugge.

Tips for new guests?
If you come by car and want to see Brugge, the Oesterparking (10 minutes from the campspace) costs only 2,50€ per day and you walk 20 minutes into the center.

Very quiet place, near the city of Bruges, so a trip is perfectly possible. Facilities are very simple but more than enough for us.

Small, quiet camping spot. We slept next to a pony meadow and Frog Pool. Our kids thought that was fantastic. (Bring your own firewood)

We had an excellent weekend in Bruges. Ann was not at home when we arrived, but we could easily reach her by telephone and were allowed to set up the tent in an idyllic place at the back of her garden. We visited the city by bike. From this Campspace in the middle of nature in the middle of the city within 20 minutes. In the evening we met Ann, who welcomed us in a friendly way. She enjoyed being able to offer people a place in her garden. Ann was only concerned that it would not be clear to campers that there were almost no facilities. This was not a problem for us. In short, we will do this more often and look forward to the next time.

Ann gave us a friendly reception, it is a nice quiet back to basic location, in the way Campspace is intended. We enjoyed our stay there with our mini drop-caravan.

A romantic path full of willow trees leads you to the rear of this deep garden. From this point you have a beautiful view over the meadows with horses and cows. A perfect place to set up our tent! This Campspace is really back to basic, which makes the place ideal for when you are in transit. There are some tree stumps that serve as a chair and table and there is no shower. There is a compost toilet and a normal toilet. In the evening we made a fire and enjoyed the silence. It is very cool to set up the tent in the middle of nature, within walking or cycling distance of the beautiful center of Bruges!

We could not stand on the camping site with the camper. It is only for tents. That was a setback and we have let the owner know that she should clearly put it on the site. Now we were in the parking lot. Fortunately, it is a very quiet street between the meadows.
For the rest beautiful location with many animals. Close to Bruges and the coast. Ann is very friendly helpful.

Ann is a nice host and explained everything clearly. Good place for a small group(max 4-5) without kids. We had campfire and barbecue. No shower.

Our stay, my daughter and mine, was very nice. It is a beautiful and very quiet place to retreat to nature. I did not know that there was such a place in Bruges and yet not far from the centre. From the care farm, which also has 3 ponies, you could almost immediately start a walk through the polders, great for nature lovers. The ponies are great fun for children, there are also 2 dogs. You can take the bus to the centre, then you have to walk 2km to the hospital. There is drinking water and a toilet, and there is also wood to make a campfire. Ann, the host, is very sweet and friendly. On the day of arrival she dropped us off in the centre of Bruges with her own car.

Let me start by saying that Ann was a wonderful hostess. When we emailed her with a question or two she always replied in maybe less than 3 hours. Communication is important and Ann knows how to do that.

It is a wonderful place where nature becomes your best friend. Your second best friend will be Mona. Ann's dog. There are a few animals which is logical because the campsite is on a little farm.

My girlfriend and I stayed during a heatwave. We didn't get much sleep because of the fact that our tent was an oven. A positive thing was that Ann gave us directions to a canal where you can chill in the shadow so you wouldn't be frying in the sun. Lovely Ann also gave us an extra 5L water because of the heat which was very nice.

Ann respects your privacy, loves to have a talk with you, has 2 dogs, 4 or 5 cats(?), 3 pony's en a few chickens. Overall it was a very pleasant stay!

Thanks Ann!!!

You arrive at the camping spot along a narrow path with a beautiful view of the polders. There is a campfire place, but it is best to bring your own wood. Here and there there is some firewood. The title of the place could also be: "Back to nature!" (just to say ...)
