Quiet place near Bruges and the coast
About this campspace #s001735
My house is located just outside Bruges in a rural area, the Lage Moere. From here you can discover the polders with the picturesque villages, or drive to the sea. And of course visit the historic city of Bruges.
You reach the camping spot via a road that leads to the very back of the site, where you look out on an idyllic landscape.
There is parking at the start of the road for the car / camper or other means of transport.
The house is just outside of Bruges. The city center is only 3.5 km away. So you'll be staying close to a fantastic city but in a quiet place with lots of possibilities. The Belgian coast is also easily accessible from here.
The spacious garden is full of surprises. You will meet sheeps, cats, chickens and little ponies.

Meet Ann, your host
I like reading, writing (journalism, poetry, proza) and I make theatre.
I love my place because of contact with nature and animals, oké, it's not a villa but here one can meet himself and the other.
We had an excellent weekend in Bruges. Ann was not at home when we arrived, but we could easily reach her by telephone and were allowed to set up the tent in an idyllic place at the back of her garden. We visited the city by bike. From this Campspace in the middle of nature in the middle of the city within 20 minutes. In the evening we met Ann, who welcomed us in a friendly way. She enjoyed being able to offer people a place in her garden. Ann was only concerned that it would not be clear to campers that there were almost no facilities. This was not a problem for us. In short, we will do this more often and look forward to the next time.
A romantic path full of willow trees leads you to the rear of this deep garden. From this point you have a beautiful view over the meadows with horses and cows. A perfect place to set up our tent! This Campspace is really back to basic, which makes the place ideal for when you are in transit. There are some tree stumps that serve as a chair and table and there is no shower. There is a compost toilet and a normal toilet. In the evening we made a fire and enjoyed the silence. It is very cool to set up the tent in the middle of nature, within walking or cycling distance of the beautiful center of Bruges!
Ann gave us a friendly reception, it is a nice quiet back to basic location, in the way Campspace is intended. We enjoyed our stay there with our mini drop-caravan.
We could not stand on the camping site with the camper. It is only for tents. That was a setback and we informed the owner that she should clearly put it on the site. Now we were in the parking lot. Fortunately it is a very quiet street between the meadows.
For the rest a beautiful location with many animals. Near Bruges and the coast. Ann is very friendly helpful.

Ann is a nice host and explained everything clearly. Good place for a small group(max 4-5) without kids. We had campfire and barbecue. No shower.
Our stay, my daughter and mine, was very nice. It is a beautiful and very quiet place to retreat to nature. I did not know that there was such a place in Bruges and yet not far from the centre. From the care farm, which also has 3 ponies, you could almost immediately start a walk through the polders, great for nature lovers. The ponies are great fun for children, there are also 2 dogs. You can take the bus to the centre, then you have to walk 2km to the hospital. There is drinking water and a toilet, and there is also wood to make a campfire. Ann, the host, is very sweet and friendly. On the day of arrival she dropped us off in the centre of Bruges with her own car.
Let me start by saying that Ann was a wonderful hostess. When we emailed her with a question or two she always replied in maybe less than 3 hours. Communication is important and Ann knows how to do that.
It is a wonderful place where nature becomes your best friend. Your second best friend will be Mona. Ann's dog. There are a few animals which is logical because the campsite is on a little farm.
My girlfriend and I stayed during a heatwave. We didn't get much sleep because of the fact that our tent was an oven. A positive thing was that Ann gave us directions to a canal where you can chill in the shadow so you wouldn't be frying in the sun. Lovely Ann also gave us an extra 5L water because of the heat which was very nice.
Ann respects your privacy, loves to have a talk with you, has 2 dogs, 4 or 5 cats(?), 3 pony's en a few chickens. Overall it was a very pleasant stay!
There is firewood available for the campfire, campers can also request blocks of wood (for a small fee)
