Very kind people and nice little spot. Toilet is basic but sufficient. I could make use of the shed for storing some stuff and was even allowed to use the fireplace for burning some wood in the evening. Great!

How was the contact with the host?
Great. Very kind and helpful.

A lovely place to relax. A very clean "camping" toiler, an outdoor shower on solar heat gave us the feeling of being one with nature. You can enjoy cycling in the area (even on hot days). What more could you want for a weekend camping

How was the contact with the host?
Nice, hospitable people.

Tips for new guests?
Do not expect luxury because there is none, otherwise a wonderful place if you want to enjoy nature.

Due to a calculation error in the number of kilometers to run, I was earlier than planned with Peter. This gave me extra time to laze around, hang out, relax and doze at the "legal wild camping spot". Equipped with a toilet in a tent and a shower hidden in the bushes, it was a very pleasant place for me to spend the afternoon and night. great place!

How was the contact with the host?
A warm welcome and no effort spared by Peter.
Very nice that he and his wife want to share this fantastic place with us in this way.

We were 2 dads with 3 kids looking to have a fun 2 night stay in a quiet and spacious setting. What we got was exactly that and more. We cooked every meal over the open fire pit (a highlight for us all) we let the children enjoy the goats and chickens plus play frisbee and cricket. The Jungle Toilets are a brilliant addition as they make a real difference and keeps the whole trip clean and hygienic. The camping spot is also superb. Tucked away behind some bushes yet hugely open to the rest of the field and surroundings. I can't recommend this place enough. An absolute winner of a weekend away!

P.S. We took the kids to the local kinderboerderij which is well worth a visit. Lots of animals and a good play area that kept them hugely entertained. There's also a good cafe.

How was the contact with the host?
Peter and his wife are just so hospitable. They completely know how to accommodate their camping guests. As seasoned travellers themselves, they just instinctively know when to engage with you and when to leave you to be alone. We happily spoke with them and they always had time to talk to us too.

Tips for new guests?
Peter offers firewood to you at a very affordable price. Buy it. It's a no-brainer! Bring a grill to place over the fire to cook. We bought our own with us and it was just a joy to use (Bitty Big Q)

The rooster starts his day early so if you're a light sleeper, take some ear plugs ;-)

We didn't get to use the Jungle Shower but the place for it is hidden so you have good privacy. There were a lot of slugs but hey, that's real nature for you plus they are food for the hedgehogs that we saw. If you don't like slugs, pitch your tent far away back from the hedges.

Almost a luxury for an off grid camper.
Roast marshmallows on the campfire.

Excellent "legal wild camping spot" in a very spacious garden. The few amenities had been thought through, the porta-potti on a platform, a "jungle" shower in a place in the sun without a view. Nice warm shower after a sweaty day. Lovely walk in the neighborhood on traffic-calmed roads and unpaved paths.

How was the contact with the host?
We were welcomed with a cold glass of soda in the shade. Then Peter pointed us to the spot he had in mind due to our desire for morning shade. He likes to think along with you.

Tips for new guests?
If you sleep lightly, don't stand too close to the animals. On the other side of the bird grove we had no problems, despite our light sleep.
If you refill the jungle shower, hang it with the right (black) side in the sun, we did it wrong and very lukewarm water the second day ;)

I spent 1 night with Peter and his wife in their beautiful garden. The kids and chickens kept me safe. Nice place for little. Great toilet in the shed and tap water is available. Had a nice cup of tea with biscuits. Pleasant stay! Definitely come back again.

Fine

Tips for new guests?

We had 3 great days with Peter and Yvonne in the garden in Laren (Gld). We were welcomed very warmly and had a nice and spacious place to stand with the caravan. Beautiful area for walking, cycling or sniffing culture in Deventer or Zutphen.

How was the contact with the host?
We found the reception very welcoming, we were welcomed with a cup of coffee with a delicious stroopwafel. What we also liked was that Peter and Yvonne just let us free and were certainly not intrusive.

Tips for new guests?
Bring a solar shower bag. There is space and privacy enough to shower outside in good weather.

A day of work with a fantastic view. Unfortunately mostly inside due to the rain. But that didn't spoil the fun. There was also a covered place where I could have sheltered

"Peter and Yvonne were super friendly. We had a nice spot in the front garden, with our own fire pit. We were also allowed to use the shed, where there are comfortable chairs and a wood stove. On Saturday we received fresh eggs from the chickens. The farm is located between the fields, giving you a very wide view. Unfortunately, we have not been able to spot the deer. The goats in the garden were very happy when we brought them something to eat. From the farm you can start different hiking trails . These are well marked. It was a very nice place to camp!"

The two of us were more than welcomed by Peter and Ivonne. In the snow we got a nice warm cup of coffee and we could use the wood stove in the covered outdoor area. For drinking water or any other question we could knock on Peter's door. We had a great time camping and this is a place that I will put high on my list.

Peter was very quick to respond to my booking request, and the entire booking was settled within an hour.

On day 3 I spent the night with 2 friends at Ivonne and Peter's. We were received wonderfully and were taken care of greatly. There was a toilet tent and a wooden picnic table. We could tap water in the garden and he even rolled out a reel of water for us. We could ring the doorbell if we needed anything. A beautiful place with goats and sheep. Very beautiful and highly recommended. I would drive for this place to stay there again. 10/10 points.

In our garden, located on the Pieterpad, we have a nice place in the orchard for a tent or tents. The toilet (a porta potti) is in the stable. Light a fire is allowed and you don't have to carry wood with you, we have that. We ask for a small contribution for this.
