Hello!

My name is Janet and I live with my husband in a daalders spot here on 't Hogeland.
My husband is a farmer, which he does with his parents on the farm across the street. That is where the activity also takes place. Our farm is mainly used only for the storage of wheat. When you come to the harvest period, you will see and hear that.

We thought it would be a great idea to share our beautiful spot with you. Some noise around the house, a nice chat and hopefully to see you enjoy what we enjoy every day!

Because we first want to discover whether it is something for us and more importantly, whether people like to come to us, we have no other facilities except a water tap and electricity. This will be realized in due course if the reactions are positive. Be welcome, come and enjoy!

Hello!
My name is Janet. On this very nice spot in the far north of the Netherlands I live together with my husband. My husband is a crop farmer, he does this together with his parents at the farm across the street. This is where the activity takes place. Our farm is mainly used for storage of wheat. When you will arrive in the harvest season you will see and hear this.
We thought it would be a nice idea to share our nice spot with you. A little bit of vibrancy around the house, a nice chat and to see you enjoy that what we enjoy every day.
Because we would like to discover if this is really something for us and more importantly, if people like to staying with us, we do not have any services besides a water tap and electricity. When we do receive good reactions this will be realized in the future.
Please feel welcome and enjoy!

Tips

  • Look around and enjoy the beautiful expansive landscape

  • Visit the Goliath, the North Cape and maybe a day in Borkum?

Very nice place with a very family atmosphere. We felt very comfortable.
The hostess was super nice and even let us check in after 10pm. If we hadn't had to cut short our trip for health reasons, we would certainly have stayed longer. Thank you very much again!

Dumorzo certainly delivers on what they promise. Peace, space, and enjoyment. Beautiful place in North Groningen with very hospitable and helpful owners. It was no problem to place a small tent next to our camper van. You can reach the Wadden Sea by bike and you can visit the North Cape of the Netherlands. Outside Corona time it is also possible to visit the island of Borkum from Eemshaven.

We really enjoyed our stay with Janet and Jan. They are great hosts, the communication was very easy and smooth. They were super helpful when we arrived and gave us great tips about the area. The location is very peaceful and relaxing. We would definitely recommend going here! The only thing missing was a shower and toilet, but if you have a camper this is not an issue.

My opinion of Groningen has changed completely. The hosts were very friendly and helping out with all our wishes. If you want to camp with minimum requirements, here you are at the right address. Very clean space on a mowed lawn, electricity, and water within 5 meters. For us: perfect!

We combined an overnight stay at Janet’s with a visit to Borkum, where we visited the centre and cycled around the island. Eemshaven, where the boat departs, is very close. The contact with Janet via Campspace was immediately very good, she responded quickly and gave a few tips for Borkum. During our stay she talked about the work on the farm and the crops they grow, very nice to hear. The place where the campers are located is fine and spacious, even for larger campers. There are now electricity poles and water. On the side was a beautiful view over the wheat field. The next day we drove to the Northern Cape and to the monument. What space and peace you can still find in the Netherlands!

I want to give Janet's campspace place 3 stars. The hostess was nice but I found the places very small. We were now the only ones, so the place was spacious, but if all 5 places were occupied, you would have 3.5 meters for your camper. I think that's more of a parking lot for motorhomes than I imagine with a place via campspace. The price is of course not expensive, but for a few euros more I am now on a campsite with sanitary facilities and much larger pitches and more comfort.
I knew that Janet had no sanitary facilities and no possibility to empty the chemical toilet, so you have to leave after a few days. But my biggest problem was the fact that the places were so small. You stand between the barn and the bush along the street. So there was no real view. More of a place for the NKC.
