Our farm is located in a quiet spot in Wenum, on the edge of Vaassen. Close to the Kroondomein, Paleis 't Loo, the Apenheul, beautiful cycling routes and within walking distance of the clog path. You can set up your tent with us in one of our meadows between the ponies. Or spend the night in a gypsy wagon or our caravan. You can pick fresh mint for a nice cup of tea. You can also play a game with us. We have various games and books (mini library). Of course you can also just enjoy nature. We have a toilet and shower in our clog shed. We also have a kitchenette with a microwave, oven, kettle and coffee maker. You can also charge your phone here. We also have one electric point outside. You camp with us on a meadow between the ponies, we do not have fixed pitches with electricity and water supplies. We do not have WiFi and the telephone range can also be disappointing. Maria, that's what we really call going back to nature! Weather permitting, you can make a fire at the designated fire pits. Please bring your own firewood, we no longer sell firewood. Every day you see birds of prey here and if you are lucky the storks are in the meadow, or you can see an owl. Hares are here in the meadow and sometimes you can see a group of deer in the twilight. I haven't been able to spot it yet, but the badger seems to pass by here quite often. So does the fox, which is why the chickens and our rabbit must be locked up. The canal is within walking distance, you can cast a line here. We live on a gravel road, not a real through road. So if you opt for Tranquility, Space and Respect for Nature, you have come to the right place. Farm de Fesse in Wenum

Hi, hi, I'm Yolanda. While maintaining the old-fashioned character of the farm, I want to breathe new life into the farm where I was born. In the way that suits me. Organically and with respect for nature, I try to become as self-sufficient as possible. I call it agrarian new style. Small-scale, mixed and living together with nature.

It was amazing! We stayed for 2 days during our bicycle tour. Wonderful nature, tranquility and lots of animals: horses, ponies, dogs (we played around 4 hours with one of them - such a smart and cute dog!), chickens, a cat, storks on the fields... We enjoyed our stay hier and would like to come back and spend more time in this beautiful place.

How was the contact with the host?
Great!

Tips for new guests?
There is a lot of activity in this area. We can recommend to visit Apeldoorn (8 km on the bike) and take a ride on the real steam locomotive (search: "Veluwsche Stoomtrein Maatschappij") to the city of Beekbergen and back. It's worth it!

Wonderfully free and quiet in nature

How was the contact with the host?
Jolanda is a social, enthusiastic and nice host who puts you at ease and is happy to help you with any questions you may have.

Tips for new guests?
There are quite a lot of things in the pipowagen such as cloths, drills, cutlery and glasses. In addition, the clog shed is completely filled with things you need to be able to camp. So you really need to take minimal stuff with you.

Great beautiful and welcoming place among the ponies. The kids had a blast sleeping next to the ponies, morning feedings, cleaning the stables, and even getting to ride the horse. The environment is great, you are in the Veluwe in no time.

How was the contact with the host?
Jolanda and her daughter Merel are very friendly and helpful, and let the children really experience what it is like to work on a farm.

There is electric fence for the ponies, but that was no problem for our almost 2-year-old.

Picked up my sister with my camper and off we went. The location is fantastic. Jolanda let us decide for ourselves which field we wanted to be on. Of course we chose the two ponies. What wonderfully sweet animals, and how nice it is to be among them. The peace, the silence apart from the birds and the horses, it is wonderful. And… what sweet dogs!! We enjoyed the ball toss. If you don't want to, the dog will be called back, but we liked it. We made use of the nice oven in the kitchen for fresh bread rolls. Sanitary is clean, shower is nice, if I have to criticize: the shower room for your dry clothes is a bit small. But that's the only thing for me. We have boated, have relaxed, walked on the clog path, and have our eyes full on the land of the camping / farm. So much love and respect for the environment. Would love to come back!

How was the contact with the host?
Entirely right. Enthusiastic, responds quickly, and has told us a lot about their vision of how to deal with their land. Beautiful! Thanks for the fresh eggs on Sunday.

We had a super great weekend at Jolanda's farm. We stayed in the Pipowagen and it was really nice to fall asleep in nature in the evening and wake up in the morning with great sunrises! Everything was super clean and everything you need was there! The animals on site were so amazing! We had so much fun playing with the dogs! There are also ponies, horses, cats, chickens and rabbits.

How was the contact with the host?
The contact with Jolanda was great! Right at the beginning she told us a bit about the area and gave us great tips! She and her family are so welcoming and such lovely people! You felt right at home!

Tips for new guests?
Everything you need is really there. So we had way too much with us. For example, there is a kettle, stovetop, refrigerator, picnic blanket, picnic baskets and games. In the Pipowagen there are also plates and cutlery, as well as extra blankets. Jolanda was really super accommodating and even gave us fresh eggs at the end :)

What a lovely campsite! Our children enjoyed the pony next to the tent. They could cuddle and brush all day long. Also the view of the other ponies and horses was nice.
But it is also a wonderful place for people who are less fond of horses: away from the crowds, but with plenty of fun things to do in the area (the climbing forest near Apeldoorn is a must!).
Jolanda is a very nice host and very hospitable. And the toilet/shower building is fully equipped: microwave, kettle, coffee maker, thermos flasks, games and books.
We had a great time and would love to come back!

Together with my three sisters we spent two nights at Boerderij de Flesse. We stood with our tents in the pony country where Pluk the pony roamed around quietly. Lovely place. All peace and quiet and a nice atmosphere. Glad we could use the fridge and charge our phones. The shower, toilet and kitchenette are in one room. Where you can also get and buy crockery, pans and all kinds of goodies. Ideal that there is! The pizza oven and making a campfire completed the adventure.

We stayed with our family for four nights at this mini campsite. It was wonderful for us because there is peace,
space and conviviality. There are good, neat facilities in a space behind the house including sanitary facilities, but also a fully equipped kitchen that you can use. Our tents were in half a meadow to ourselves. Our 10-year-old daughter loved the sweet dogs and the pony she got to brush and braid. There is a fire pit, pizza oven and bbq that you can take. Jolanda wants to make you feel comfortable and likes to share about farm life and the environment in a cozy and pleasant way. The area is beautiful and varied, plenty to do!

We stood on a field with the ponies around us. One of the older ponies was grazing between the tents. Especially if you have small children a great place. But it was also good for us. Nice shower and toilet. Kitchen unit with microwave and small oven. Handy to put the bake-off bread rolls in on Sunday morning. And the bad weather room to still be able to eat instead of our small tent. Since we had just put our tent on an ant nest, we got the necessary ants with eggs and all in the tent. That was a bit less, but Jolanda was kind enough to offer us the pippo car that was not rented out at that time.

How was the contact with the host?
Jolanda is a sweet nice hospitable woman full of information about everything there is to do in the area and on the farm. You only have to ask and she will be there for you. Thank you Jolanda for your hospitality. There is still a lot to do, but with your energy and enthusiasm it will become an even more beautiful place than it already is. We would like to come back again

Tips for new guests?
Bakery and supermarket are in Vaasen (2-3 Km). Albert Hein in Apeldoorn was not such a success. The bicycle places were packed and you are not allowed to park your bicycle anywhere on pain of a fine of 40 euros. We were initially summoned to put the bicycles in the parking garage, but with a bicycle with 2*5 panniers this is not really convenient. After insisting that one of us would stay with the bicycles so that the other could do the shopping, I was allowed to stand. You can easily reach the forest from the campsite, where we especially saw many boars.

We were received super friendly and hospitable by Jolanda. She gave us a tour of the grounds and explained everything. It was great that the tent, including the air mattresses, were already ready. It is a spacious tent with 3 sleeping places. All we really had to do was unfold our sleeping bag and put down the pillows.
There is a pizza oven where we baked our homemade pizzas. We didn't really know how it worked, but Jolanda helped us with this.

The tent was ready, and we could have a BBQ right away. Around the loo it’s beautiful for cycling and walking. Also being able to make a campfire, all in all a great stay.

The contact with the host was very relaxed, she responds on time, always time for a chat there as well. Showed everything in terms of facilities and we were free in choosing where we want to stand. A nice stay for little money! We’ll be back for sure!

We had a great stay with Jolanda. Lots of space and privacy, just what we were looking for. She even came to warn us for the lightning at night and made sure we were safe. Recommended for anyone who likes being outdoors and likes conversations with the host

Jolanda was extremely enthusiastic about us staying. She would have popped open the barbeque if it wasn’t raining. Her horses are very friendly, her garden gorgeous. We had some freshly picked mint tea and it was delicious. She allowed us to use the caravan to shelter from the wind and rain. It was my birthday, so it was amazing to spend a rainy afternoon playing boardgames and drinking tea in the warmth of the caravan. The warm shower helped too, as well as her advice on hiking places.-

Together with a mate we camped at Jolanda's for a night whilst on a cycling holiday. We got a very warm welcome from everyone and felt at home from the beginning! It is a lovely place at a perfect location for exploring the Veluwe. Het kievitsveld is amazing for a swim. Would definitely recommend a visit!

The bee hives were my personal favourite 👌
