Beautiful grounds in a very nice area. We were able to choose a nice spot to install our car. There were other guests, but the site is spacious enough to provide each other with the necessary privacy. There was a place to make your own cozy fire. Our little four-legged friend came along for the first time, so that was an experience.

It was great! Wonderful rest, nice walking environment and a super large beautiful field to stand on. We were here with a roof tent and that went very well. I definitely recommend this for anyone who wants to camp quietly. The field is surrounded by trees so you don't see anyone except any other guests. The dog was also allowed to go loose in principle, but there was a baby on the other side of the field, so we did not do that.

Top! Very nice man. Super.

We stayed 3 days in this beautiful place. It was still a bit chilly outside (nothing strange for April) but with the wood we ordered we were able to make wonderfully warm fires. You walk from the field into the forest where you can go in all kinds of directions. A walk to the abbey or simply through the woods.
How was the contact with the host?
Bart is very friendly and gave us tips on where to stand (nice in the first sun on cold days) but also where to walk and what to find in the area
Tips for new guests?
Enjoy the peace and the large amount of birdsong and the calling owls at night.

We stayed here for 2 nights.
Sanitation is present and in good condition.
You hear the birds chirping and otherwise it is very quiet here.
There is a forest road next to the campsite, so you can immediately go for a walk.
Bart, the owner, is a pleasant and super friendly man who enthusiastically gives his tips for the best ice cream in the area.
We had a wonderful stay with everything we were looking for. Peace, quiet, nature.
Goodbye Bart.

We stayed here for 2 nights with baby and dog during a beautiful autumn weekend. Had a wonderful stay! An oasis of peace, in the middle of the woods and all basic facilities for sanitary/electricity are available. In the evening by a campfire you imagine yourself in France. In addition, we were allowed to use Bart's compressor when we noticed that our tire pressure was not optimal. Recommended!
Tips for new guests?
A trip to the Abbey of Averbode or the Gerhagen nature reserve are highly recommended and always a nice walk there.

If you like peace, nature and freedom, then you've come to the right place (still secret for now). We were here the first w-end of September, so loners on this great site. Bart also opts for the camping experience. Even in high season, they opt for a maximum of five occupancies, which is exceptional. An infinite number of hiking and cycling trails start from the camping site through the beautiful heathland and forests. The facilities are basic, but more than sufficient for us. Toilet, shower, washing up area, everything clean and cared for !!
How was the contact with the host?
Bart, is a very amiable person. He is clearly proud of his Hills where he grew up. And he looks after the grounds and his guests as if they were family. For example, he pulled +/- 30m cable for our electrical needs... Thanks, Bart!!

My stay at Bart's spacious Campspace was amazing. There was plenty of space to roam in the beautiful nature and to enjoy its peace. The farm is surrounded by a forest which accommodates numerous hiking and biking paths. The Campspace offers three separate locations for both campers, tents, 4x4 roof tent vehicles, and hammocks. Each space is unique and offers great connection to nature. Also it is suitable for groups.
How was the contact with the host?
When arriving Bart was welcoming me right away and took his time to show me around the entire Campspace personally. He is friendly and also very personal. He was always available to help during my stay.
Tips for new guests?
If you are arriving with a vehicle then leveling blocks will come handy as the terrain can be uneven, however there is also plenty of level space available as well!

We were looking for an authentic place, right in nature, and we were not disappointed. The estate is large and has many possibilities. From the meadow to the woods via the clearing, everyone can find their favorite spot. For our part, we opted for the “return to nature” experience without water or electricity. For the less adventurous, amenities, shower and electric current are also available. In short. We loved our time spent at Bart's and one thing is for sure, we will be back!
How was the contact with the host?
Bart is a caring host, incredibly kind, and bends over backwards for his campers. We exchanged messages to prepare for our arrival and once there, we discovered that he had prepared several locations for us. After a site visit, we had the free choice of choosing where to camp.
Bart, thank you for your kindness, your availability and your benevolence. Being able to meet you was the cherry of our wonderful stay 🙏🏼
