About this campspace

At our Campspace you are welcome to find the best sleep spot yourself by choosing from many quiet private corners in Quinta do Sol Poente land yard. You will get a feeling of wild camping along with magnificent panoramic views over the Monchique Mountain near a large water reservoir used for agriculture, that we use also for swimming on warmer days until the sunset.

On a short drive you will find the beautiful beaches of the Algarve. Supermarkets and restaurants can be found in the nearby village of Silves on a short drive from our farm.

Quinta Sol Poente is a beautiful spot, and Nuno is such a thoughtful host, making sure every detail is considered for guests. The caravan spots are spacious and private, with stunning views. The shared WC and kitchen areas are clean and have everything you need. We hope to return soon!

Absolutely incredible place, our favourite stop in Portugal for sure. We stayed two nights with a van and our two kids, Nuno was so welcoming and kind. We would have loved to stay longer but we had other places to be! The pool is super refreshing too 👌

Absolutely special place with a great view and perfect sunsets. Very lovely hosts. Relaxing massages by Brunna, good drinks and a refreshing pool. The area is also recommended for bike tours, even racing bikes.

We had an absolutely lovely experience at Nunos place. He offered us a quite place in underneath a tree and surrounded by bushes so we had a lot of shadow, as we awere traveling with a tent. The place is really beautiful and peaceful and the shower and toilet were totally clean and worked perfectly.

How was the contact with the host?
Nuno, Brunna, Beatriz and João are such a lovely family and we left there being friends that will definitely will see each other again. Communication beforehand was clear and easy!

We had such a wonderful stay at Quinta Sol Poente. This farm is an idilliac place with beautiful views and hills all around. Nuno is a really kind host and his space reflects all the love he and his family dedicate in taking care of their land and home.

The location is very convenient, just a quick panoramic drive to reach the coast but far away from the touristy crowds.

The camp spot is very private, you get a lot of space for yourself and the shared bathroom and shower is awesome and super clean.

His products are really delicious (the orange jam is the best I ever had!!🤤) , we had a lot of fun picking up oranges and avocados and Nuno has let us also pick up wild herbs and asparagus with which we cooked pasta that we enjoyed in front of a stunning sunset, in company of ver sweet dogs.

It was a truly magical day and I wish to go back there soon and stay longer.

Thank you Nuno!! we have a wonderful memory of the day we spent at your farm.

Nuno’s place is lovely and very convenient to anyone visiting Silves. We had a lovely space on our own surrounded by the garden and walking distance to the bathroom facilities. The bathroom is clean and the shower is incredible…hot and strong!

While there, our van starter broke! Nuno extended himself finding us a mechanic, who came and replaced the part right there in the field?! Amazing! Nuno turned what could have been an incredibly stressful situation into a minor inconvenience.

Nuno and his family are wonderful. He is a font of information and insight to the region. His daughter is a bundle of joy and fun, and his little boy is pure happiness. He speaks excellent english and seems to work well with people from anywhere. We will definately be back!

My partner and I had an absolutely incredible four day stay at Nuno's place in our tent :) Nuno & family were absolutely wonderful, kind and thoughtful. The facilities (bathroom with hot shower and toilet) were a definite plus, and the property is absolutely stunning and easy to access. There were also tables for cooking/eating, a hammock with a view, a very sweet dog and trees for shelter from wind/sun. I cannot recommend this place enough to fellow campers! Nuno gave us tons of recommendations in the area, and without his help we would've missed out on some of our favourite parts of the trip. The nearby town Silves is really lovely as well, and we would've most likely overlooked it had we not chosen to stay here. Nuno and his family went above and beyond to make our stay special and we will definitely be back as soon as possible!

Nuno and his lovely family hosted our 4 days stay in their amazing place nearby Silves. Well located to visit Algarve, the camp site is just perfect, with a very calm and quiet environment. The facilities of the place were also what we were looking for, with warm water, a clean toilet and privacy. The pool is definitely a great feature, with clear water and the right depth for swimming and diving. We would absolutely recommend this place for a cosy and pleasant camping experience.

Enjoy the beaches but do not forget to visit Barragem do Arade, located a 10 minutes drive from Quinta do Sol Ponte. The views are gorgeous and the water is simply unavoidable.

Great experience. Nuno has a beautiful piece of land and is an excellent host. We had the whole place to ourself, a lot of privacy. Swimming in the reservoir during the exquisite sunset was my favorite part. An outside shower, toilet and water was available to us.

Upon our arrival at Casa de Campo we were kindly received by Nuno and his wife Brunna. After a short off road across their property, we arrived at a beautiful spot right next to the swimming pool. The pool is the former water reservoir of their country and is refreshing for a swim on a hot day. We really like camping in nature and at this place you really get the feeling that you are standing in rugged nature. There are several corners on the property where you can relax and enjoy the view. We stayed with our camper van and slept wonderfully. In the morning we awoke by the rising sun. At the house of the family there is a simple sanitary facility that you can use. Do not expect luxury from a four star campsite, but experience wild camping in a beautiful surrounding. The location of this place is perfect, the village of Silves is 5 minutes away and is highly recommended to visit. It has nice restaurants an old castle and there are dozens of storks.

Our stay at Nuno's campsite was very nice. We were with 4 persons and a caravan trailer + tent. We had a beautiful view and lot's of space. It's a bit of an unorganized camping and that's exactly what we like. The dogs that are ramble over the campsite are a little anoying though.

When traveling across the Algarve and in need of a loving environment to quiet down, enjoy an outdoor hot shower, look at a beautiful sunset or have an inspiring talk with the host, this is most definately the place! Sadly we've came at a time when the water reservoir was in need of cleaning, therefore it was emtied out and honestly, that is the only reason why we didn't rate this place 5 stars. We were in fact really looking for that experience but then again the five star host Nuno more than made up for it with a bucket of freshly plucked figs and some good information about the region. Really close by Silves yet privatly, nicely tucked away in the mountains. And for 8€ pp / night...

Very friendly and helpfull host. Very sweet kid and sweet dogs (not so much for the dogs of the neighbours they barked a lot). Very large space with a place in de shade for the tent. It doesn’t feel like a camping because the other guests are far away and you are surrounded with trees. Amazing view with very pretty sunset. Nuno recommended a secret beach which was the prettiest and very quiet. The bathroom was rather small with a small sink to wash your dishes. But overall amazing campspace would definetely recommend!!!

Perfect, was always there when we needed him or when we had questions. Lent us some gear to repare our tent.

A nice young coupIe from Belgium stayed 2 nights.They where very respectfull with the enviroment, would definitely host them again.

Regarding the neighbour dogs , something might have happened that scared the dogs making them to bark on that night,I can ensure that they are quiet at night most all nights. I can only say that you where a bit unlucky by this one event on one of the nights you slept in our place.
