About this campspace

Quinta Lusco-Fusco is a rural farm, located in an area of 27ha of cork oak forest. We seek self-sufficiency through a domestic economy of organic family farming. We offer direct and genuine contact with nature, vegetable garden, farm animals and local traditions in the neighbourhood.

This farm has animals, and an organic vegetable garden. It is also just a short distance from Lisbon (30 minutes). The ‘city of light’ offers culture, quirk and great value for money, as well as a gorgeous Mediterranean climate – a definite must-visit when you’re in the South-West of Portugal.

Our campspaces welcomes motorcyclists, campervans and tents.

Guests who cancel at least 14 days before check-in will receive a refund of the amount paid by them (excluding Campspace fees). If they cancel between 7 and 14 days before check-in, they will receive a 50% refund. Otherwise they will not be refunded.

Bonfires are prohibited in summer, the risk of fire is very high and not allowed by law.

Animals are welcome but must be friendly to the farm animals.

We can certainly recommend nice restaurants / family cafes in the area.

I m a health-food enthusiast, medicinal plants, fermented food and drinks, ways of preserving food. I make my homemade bread with sourdough. Produce my cleaning and hygiene products (detergents, soaps, deodorant and salves). Walking in the nature, meditation, be with friends, go to beach and watch the sunset, are some things i enjoys.

Tips

The sunset is beautiful on the beach of the mills in the Alcochet .village.
The cork oak forest is ideal for hiking and relaxing.

Quinta Lusco-Fusco is a charming organic farm. There are many animals here, but there is not the slightest unpleasant smell, and I am amazed at how this is done. There is no doubt that Jorge has put a lot of effort into this farm. All the animals are very friendly and my dog enjoyed his time on the farm.

Our tent was set up under the trees and was very comfortable and cool.

The bathroom was very clean and the kitchen area was spacious and tidy and well equipped with kitchenware and cutlery.

We had a memorable weekend and highly recommend it!

The entrance wasn't easy to find - right on the street and just open the gate. Jorge was super friendly and the place is a great experience with all the animals! Unfortunately we were only there for one night :) Gladly again!

Spent almost a week at Jorge's loverly farm. Great spot to use as a base to visit Lisboa, Cascais and Sintra. Lots of free space, quiet, and the animals on the farm are great to have around.

How was the contact with the host?
George is a great guy. Created his own little paradise. Every morning we did coffee and small talk. All and all just a delight to spend time here.

Tips for new guests?
Make friends with Jorge's two doggies Tesju and Bolata (hope I got the names right this time 😉).

What a paradise! Jorge was a very cordial host. While he fed the donkeys, chickens, turkeys, ducks, dogs, cats and goats, he told everything about his self-sufficient life. His farm is based on permaculture. He likes to talk about this. During your stay you can pick vegetables, fruit and herbs. There is a basic outdoor adventure shower. The water is cold but you have a view of the donkeys grazing. There is a compost toilet. This sounds more exciting than it is as it was very very clean and easy to use. There is room for many campers. But de Jorge doesn't want to occupy more than three spots. He wants to give the campers the feeling that they are staying overnight in the middle of nowhere. This is the charm of this farm. There is also a patio where you can use an outdoor kitchen and hammock. We will definitely come back!
And another big plus! You are half an hour from Lisbon. So after your city trip you can relax here again. Delicious!
