** Winter Facilities: campfire, hot water, hot shower, shelter, covered kitchen **

Our region might best be described as "textbook Holland" it is characterised by meadows with cows, farms, rivers, dykes, ditches, willows, storks and sleepy villages. UNESCO world heritage Kinderdijk (the famous windmills) is just around the corner as well as a number of picturesque small cities and villages.

Our place is next to the River Lek. We have a truly spacious garden, an orchard and a modest bit of woodland so enough room for some privacy if you want. Bicycles can be parked in the shed which can also be used for cooking on a wood stove or enjoying a drink.

The river is suited for swimming and the nearest 'beach' is a mere three minute walk. If you wish and you know how to master a Canadian canoe on a current you may use our canoe also.

You can order various beverages and food like cold beer, wine, freshly baked bread, espresso etc. as the nearest supermarket is quite a walk. We also offer buckets of iced water for cooling down your own drinks (free) if you wish.

We're currently establishing a sleeping accommodation in the woodshed which will provide room for at least two adults. You may also spread your sleeping bag on the straw next to this glamporious addition for the most rustic sleeping experience ever.

My name is Alexander a.k.a. Lex, living in the countryside, small house big plot with a garden, orchard, woodland; from rather civilised to rather jungle. Which tells something about myself too getting muddy from working in the garden upto being fuzzy about food.
I run a platform of webshops for food and drinks (needless to say: fine food and..) take care of my mother, living in a tiny house in the garden and lots of other things.
Apart from camping with a tent or mobile anything you can stay in the prehistoric caravan and in the shed. Where we also have other facilities.
Strive to be remembered for hospitality.

We really had a few wonderful days with Alex and his wife. In his "man cave" as he calls it, besides beers, there were also tasty salads and toasts on the table. So we were received very nicely and were able to stand directly at the waterfront with our van and light a small fire for the BBQ near the bus. We will certainly come back for the fun and beautiful rural surroundings with lots of water and tranquility.

The reception by Lex was warmest. I chose the best pitch for my bus camper together with him, because the ground is very clayey and sometimes someone gets stuck. With his directions, it was no problem for my small (5 m) bus camper, but for a larger one?
Lex is very hospitable, has furnished a room with a kettle, coffee maker, wood-fired stove and a refrigerator where you can unpack, he likes to open a bottle of wine with you and enjoy a chat.
It was a wonderful place to stand; During the week, heavy freight traffic drives over the dike early in the morning and the neighbor is working on his farm from early in the morning until late at night.
Wonderful environment for cycling! It is recommended to take the ferry to Schoonhoven via Nieuwpoort, then cycle via Bergambacht to Vlist and back again. It is also beautiful cycling along the Lekdijk and the sunsets sitting on the dike are beautiful. Had a great 3 days here!

Want to relax for a weekend? Then I recommend spending the night in Alexander's vintage caravan! After a warm welcome, we got an extensive tour of the site, after which we could settle in the caravan. The atmosphere on the site is very relaxed and warm.
In addition to the fact that the caravan looks super nice, it is also fully equipped. A nice veranda with chairs, a fridge, a nice bed, a heating element for when it gets cold and enough space for playing nice board games. Furthermore, the other facilities such as toilet and shower are clean and convenient to use. Everything on the site has been cleverly thought out by Alexander with an eye to the wishes of his guests. In addition to all these facilities, we were also spoiled in the morning with a delicious breakfast.
A visit to Alexander's site is recommended if you are looking for a relaxing weekend and if you want to immerse yourself in typical Dutch sores. A walk on the city walls of Nieuwpoort and a tour through nice villages such as Otterland and Molengraaf is highly recommended. As well as a visit to the famous Kinderdijk. All in all! Top location for a relaxing weekend!

We had a wonderful holiday! The campsite is located in a nice area with a lot to do and the beach within walking distance is very nice. The plumbing is basic, but fine for a few nights.

Alexander, the owner, briefly showed where we could shower and where we could get a cold drink, but it was mostly freedom and joy. The whole weekend he turned out to be very hospitable. Also about checking in and out (we arrived earlier and stayed longer) he was not difficult at all. You were allowed to pick a spot in the orchard yourself. We chose sheep, cows and horses as neighbors and at night we were kept out of sleep by the frogs. Glad we were allowed to make a campfire. There was more than enough wood. Of course the bottle of bubbles made the evening complete at the campfire. The next day we decided to cycle spontaneously along the Lek. Alexander had two extra bicycles and he has the bicycle tires pumped up for us. The area sometimes looks a bit French. At least there is a lot of nature. When we came back from cycling, a cold drink was waiting for us again. We will definitely camp here again

Do you know that feeling of the neighbours drill resounds in your brain? Escape the city stress in Langerak. Come for the beautiful nature, the animals and an absence of Mr. Albert Heijn. Stay for the hospitality, the wonderful jokes of the host and the great breakfast. We have had two wonderful days in the wooden house in the garden. Campfires, walking, sitting in the garden: you don't need more. An absolute must!

This Campspace was great! Beautiful grounds and a relaxed atmosphere. Delicious breakfast (and coffee!). Next to the river Lek with a beach at a few minutes walk, so nice possibility to swim and cool off. Sleep at night with the calming sound of birds, cows, sheep, and the trees that rustle. The caravan was a bit too hot to sleep in during the heatwave (in combination with many mosquitoes), so we set up our own tent to spend the nights. Lex is a super nice host who doesn't bother about anything and cooks deliciously. Really recommended!

From the moment we approached the dyke we immediately felt relaxed; what a beautiful surrounding! While enjoying our welcome drink our host told us very enthusiastically about his Campspace and his own camping experiences. Afterwards, we took a tour through the wide and green garden. This Campspace has a few options; set up your own tent, spend the night in a already set-up tipi, caravan or wooden mancave. We decided to set up our own tent, which was hard to choose because there are so many beautiful spots. We picked a spot all the way in the back surrounded by trees and next to a little creek. From this spot you have a beautiful view overlooking the fields. The rest of the day we started a fire and cooking some delicious food. There are plenty of options to cook, from open fire to brick oven. Also, the host loves to cook so we let them surprise us. Until late in the evening we enjoyed the coziness. The next morning we went for a run; so many beautiful paths towards cute little villages. The well deserved shower overlooks the garden, how nice?! Afterwards, we enjoyed breakfast in the sun and in the afternoon we even went canoeing on the nearby river de Lek. In short; we really enjoyed our time here and had some good laughs. We will definitely come back!
