Against the edge of the forest we have made a few camping pitches (with a wood stove or fire pit) for a few small tents for a night, to enjoy the animals and nature at sunset and sunrise.

We live next to the Stelkampsveld nature reserve, an Achterhoek gem with rare vegetation, such as spotted orchid (orchid), bell gentian and parnassia. We also regularly see deer and many bird species here (we try to map them out a bit).

In 2020 we set up a Rest Point here so that cyclists and walkers can take a rest here, use the toilet, cool off in the shade of the roof or enjoy the sun with a cup of coffee, tea or a delicious ice cream from ice cream farm 't Dommerholt from Borculo.

At the edge of the forest we have made a few camping pitches (with a wood stove or fire pit) for a few small tents for a night, to enjoy the animals and nature at sunset and sunrise.

We always like it when a few camping guests spend the night who enjoy themselves.

Had a very nice stay. I was all alone this weekend, and enjoyed the peace and the view. Very nice that the roof of the rest point is there, I could cook and eat there quietly and chat with passing walkers.

What a fantastic place to camp, if you just want to get away for the night or as a stopover.
It is quiet and in the evening and night still really quiet and dark (little to no light pollution).
It is located on a small road and with less than 10 minutes walk you are in the forest. Next to it is a resting point, where many cyclists and walkers pass by, but here, just like the main road that is not far behind it, I had no problems with it given the location in relation to each other.
Incidentally, you can use the toilet at this resting point and it all looked neat and maintained.
In the beautiful immediate surroundings there is plenty to see if you like walking or cycling.

Super friendly welcome, nice place in a beautiful setting. Sanitary top care, wonderful to wake up to a beautiful sunrise. If you are a light sleeper, earplugs are recommended, you camp fairly close to a main road, in the morning you can be woken by a rooster and the open field can cause quite a bit of wind. But the present fire pit and cozy wood stove make up for a lot, there is plenty of firewood available for a lovely evening heating.
In addition, there are already several picnic tables (one of which is even covered) so that the lightweight camper can consider leaving his or her chair at home.
In terms of activities, there is plenty to do in the area. For example, you can take nice walks and bike rides from the Campspace itself, but my personal favorite, the Lochemse mountain and surroundings, is also not far away. A beautiful piece of nature where you can take beautiful hilly walks and take challenging mountain bike routes.
