Camping with a fantastic view over the Andes mountain
About this micro camping
Our lovely Camp space is based in Curahuasi, a small but charming town in the middle of the Andes mountain range, 125 km away from Cuzco and the famous Macchu Pichu. Thanks to its unique location, it offers magnificent views on the mountains cape and it benefits from a very pleasant micro climate.
The much feared Peruvian rainy season barely has its effect in daytime, since most of the rain only falls during the night. In the main building, bathrooms and hot showers are at your disposal 24/7.
A number of facilities are at your disposal during your stay on our grounds: A barbecue spot and garden crib, a chill out zone with hammocks, volleyball and football field, a shop with basic amenities, laundry service. The animals on the ‘hacienda’ (= farm) have all the space they need and receive food from our own fields. Fresh vegetables are grown ecologically in the garden and the fruit trees are in full growth. A catered breakfast with homemade products is served to early birds as well as to people who like to sleep in. Next to lodging, we also offer tours. From hiking to horseback riding, from quiet boating trips to real adrenaline boosts, from day trips to fully catered overnight camping trips. We are also happy to help with organising your free walks in the beautiful surroundings of Curahuasi. Today, this is already the starting point of trips to Choquequirao and the Salkantay Mountain and a 20-minute drive will get you to the hot springs of Cconoc.
By staying with us you support a local NGO which provides educational projects for children. Every morning the project works with kids with special educational needs and every afternoon with toddlers from underprivileged families. You can visit or help out at the project. As stopover or as home base, our camp space and Curahuasi will definitely charm you!
