Park-like garden near the Biesbosch "ONLY FOR CYCLISTS"
About this campspace #s005035
Your host
Erik en Anne, Wende en OtisWelcome to our mini park, a garden of over 2000m2 with many trees and shrubs, but enough space to set up a tent.
We are Anne, Erik, Wende and Otis and love cycling and camping ourselves.. we have already made several trips at home and abroad. As a result, we know how important a good, fun camping spot is for cyclists.
Our garden is lower than the road (dike) so it is wind-reduced, there can be a lot of sun, but there is also plenty of shade through various trees.
We are developing this overgrown garden, but we think it's great to share our garden with nice guests on bicycles.
There is a cottage in the garden that will eventually function as a B&B, but may also be used for sanitary facilities by the camping guests. Shower, toilet and a small kitchenette are available.
*Our garden is only suitable for small tents! There is no place for cars, campers, caravans or folding trailers. We have a strong preference for trekkers by bike or on foot.*

we are Erik and Anne, Conductor, Hornist, Music teacher, School teacher (Pabo student).. we love cycling and camping and have a daughter of almost 3 (Wende) and a son (Otis) who was born at the end of May 2021, very small still so.
Our work is making music in the broadest sense of the word (conducting, teaching, playing, arranging, organizing) and in our spare time we are working on the garden, a 25 year project.. and we like the garden so much that we like to share it with other people.
We especially like to receive other "slow travelers" who are passing through, for example.

It was a great stay at Anne's place! Besides the garden, they have a little garden house with a full bathroom (hot shower) a little kitchen and fridge offering different kind of drinks. They also have a lot of cycling and travelling books at your disposal!
I got to know Anne, Wende and Otis briefly, since they were going out that night. Very friendly, i wish we could've share more time together.

Nice place, mowed grass, picnic bench and excellent shower and kitchen in the garden house. Anne and Eric are top hosts. They know what cyclists need after a cycling day. And they offer that. In the village is a village supermarket, with everything for a good breakfast.

We enjoyed. Very warmly received, very nice garden to camp in. Very nice with children because of the play equipment in the garden. Sanitary is very neat and facilities are very complete. Wende is a cute mini hostess, who came to offer us drinks herself, following the example of her parents.
How was the contact with the host?
Good contact when meeting and received very hospitable. Very nice to eat together and fun for the children to play with Wende.
Tips for new guests?
Nice campspace for a family, but also a wonderful oasis for adults.

Super good and quick contact with Erik and Anne, reception was very friendly.
Beautiful garden with a nice campfire place, in the garden shed you will find next to a toilet and shower a kettle, hob and fridge, ideal for hikers!
Recommendations: From Lage Zwaluwe with the bicycle ferry to the Biesbosch! Due to crowds, go on time :-)
