Super fun experience, but it is really back to basics without electricity and water in a caravan with a great view of the countryside.
The Goat Farm is rightly a beast. With goats of course, but also rabbits, cats, dogs and beautiful Friesian horses (Nienke and Ybo)
We were very kindly received by Wilbert and Agatha and were immediately invited to go on a horse-drawn carriage ride.
Later we were also allowed to go horseback riding and my son was allowed to come along to learn how the goats were milked.
And then you could do it yourself.
We were allowed to use showers and toilets in the house and the attached stable.
To be honest, sleeping in the caravan was a bit difficult because of the many mosquitoes so mosquito spray or something with it is really recommended! And the benches that can be converted into beds were a bit hard, but waking up with the beautiful view and having breakfast in the meadow made us forget that quickly.
The views and friendliness of Agatha and Wilbert are truly amazing. We had a very nice experience and for children (and adult children) it is really great if you want to experience farm life once.
Sneek is a stone's throw away, there are of course many water activities nearby and plenty of walking and cycling routes.
