We, that is Joke, Augustijn, Mirte, Jade, Abel and Douwe... and our friends on the farm of course: the two Ouessant sheep, the 2 dwarf goats, the two kune kune pigs, the 6 rabbits, the Indian runner ducks and the chickens. There's a nice bunch here.

“How did you decide to open a village farm?” people sometimes ask. It's like this: A few years ago we had a baby, and then another and then another and then another. We often thought: “Gosh, it would be nice to have an aperitif in a beautiful place while our children are playing.” But we didn't find such a place right away. So when I said to Gust one day: “We wouldn't make a place like that ourselves, a petting zoo or something”, Gust said: “ok”. He did not know at the time that he would be appointed as an official first-class renovator for the next three years. So it happened and not much later we announced the purchase of… a gigantic dirty, rotten, dilapidated shack.

A few years, work, carpentry, collapsed walls, phone calls to the urban planning department, even more collapsed walls, renovation, escaped pigs, a subsidy file and endless days of work (thank you Gust!) Later the shack became a house, the barn a cafeteria , and the weed jungle a small farm. and as the icing on the cake, we put together a gypsy wagon for those who like to spend the night here among the animals.
