About this campspace #s005131
The sustainable yard and mini-camping De Cuynder has a special garden with pine trees, dwarf quince apples, blue honey berries, old varieties of apples and pears. Birds, frogs, salamanders, butterflies, bees and bumblebees know where to find this little paradise. You can experience it all yourself by staying overnight in an attractively furnished tent. For a true feeling of nature, camping in an old Dutch style is a wonderful way to relax.
Next to the sheep meadow are a De Waard tent, type Jan van Gent and a large Cabanon tent, type Mont Blanc. In both tents you camp without electricity, but with a cool box, camping gas lamp, woolen blankets, a gas stove and accessories, 2 single beds with duvet, sitting area and picnic table. They are furnished with recycled, clean furniture. On request, an extra inflatable sleeping mat or an extra tent can be placed in the Cabanon tent, so that there is also room for 1 or 2 children. Bring your own sheets, pillowcases, duvet cover or sleeping bag, towels and tea towels. Do you like coffee? Then coarsely ground coffee is very tasty in the French press coffee maker. Do you like tea? Then take loose tea with you for the tea infuser or tea bags. Do you like to cook yourself? Do not forget to bring herbs, oil or butter.
You use the facilities of the mini-campsite, such as sanitary facilities, shop, vegetable garden, parking lot.
Pets are unfortunately not welcome, because deer and hares regularly visit the site. Smoking is not allowed in the tents
Stroll around the estate or help with the harvest in the vegetable garden. Cycle to Appelscha, the Drents-Friese Wold National Park and take a dip in the Aekingermeer (also known as the Canadameer), which is surrounded by heather and shifting sand areas, southwest of Appelscha. Visit the Colonies of Benevolence in Veenhuizen with the exciting prison museum, the windmill museum in Makkinga or the National Braid Museum in Noordwolde. Walk through the Drents-Friese Wold National Park, the forests near Appelscha or enjoy the expanse of the best-preserved raised moor area in the Netherlands, the Fochteloërveen, and encounter cranes.

Your host, Aaltine
I look with admiration at everything that grows and blooms. I realize that nature is a fragile system on which we depend. I like to travel and cook with edible wild plants. At De Cuynder, nature feels close by and you can camp in the old-fashioned way in the two furnished tents on a sustainable yard, market garden and mini-camping site of De Cuynder.
Pets are not allowed due to deer and hares walking on the property. Smoking is not allowed in the tent. Please respect the camping rules and no parties. Enjoy, relax and discover.
