About this campspace

In 2019, Pieter-Jan started his organic self-harvest farm 't Groenselveld, where he grows vegetables, herbs, fruit, berries and flowers.
A lot of hedges and trees were planted that grow a little every year. So the place gets more and more beautiful over the years.

When you arrive at the farm, you will be given a wheelbarrow to take your tent and equipment to the tent spot on the field. The tent pitch is not accessible by car to prevent soil compaction. After all, vegetables are grown on this spot the following year. Every year the tent spot is somewhere else on the field. At this place you are guaranteed to be alone with your tent, because Pieter-Jan chooses to offer maximum tranquility.

That does not necessarily mean that you will never see anyone, because the participants from the farm come to harvest their vegetables, flowers, ... directly on the field.

There is no electricity, (drinking) water or a toilet at the tent itself, which you will find a little further on the farm.

The field is located within walking and cycling distance (4 km) of Puyenbroek, where you can swim, cycle, walk, play in the large playground, view animals, ...

Those who prefer to go into the city are 25 minutes (by car) in the center of Ghent. Here you can shop, enjoy terraces, ... or rent a canoe and discover Ghent from the water.

Options:
- Net bag of firewood 20dm³: €5/net - wood from sustainably managed forests (we also purchase)
- Use Weber BBQ, briquette starter and briquettes: €10
We choose to use briquettes from European forests where a new one is planted for every tree that is felled. Many (cheaper) briquettes come from illegally felled forests from South America, something that we, as an organic farm with an emphasis on ecological, nature, ... prefer not to participate in.

Rules

- We are an organic company where we work together with nature. We expect the same from you. Please do not leave any waste on the field and do not cut/cut off vegetables and flowers.
- There are a lot of nesting boxes on the field and in the orchard. These birds obviously want to be left alone. They are mainly nest boxes for small birds but with a bit of luck you can even see the kestrels flying around and hunting their prey.
- Ground water is available.
- Take a bucket of water with you when cooking on a small gas fire just to be safe.
- The meadow is not a festival meadow :)
