We like to open up our large and colorful garden to share the peace, beauty and nature with others. In addition, the camper place is an opportunity for us to collect some financial resources for our aquaponics project in Namibia. The sanitary facility will be closed until the beginning of March due to the risk of frost damage

Tips

  • Beautiful clog paths in the immediate vicinity along historic estates

  • Extensive cycling network through both the 'Zuiderzee' landscape and the north Veluwe

Nice place to stay. You can easily walk onto the Klompenpad in beautiful surroundings. Cyclists can also indulge themselves here.

How was the contact with the host?
Top! Willem was ready when we arrived and helped us to park in the right spot. If we had any questions he was very helpful. We were also allowed to enjoy the fruit and goodies from the vegetable garden.

Tips for new guests?
The nice towns in the area and the walk (about 2 hours) along the Klompenpad.

What a magical place! Beautiful sculpture garden in the middle of nature where you are the only one (!) allowed to stand. Heavenly.

How was the contact with the host?
Willem and Jenny are super hospitable, think along and all proceeds go to their project in Namibia.

What a beautiful spot! We were not in the garden, but in the 'emergency spot', but that was just as beautiful as far as we were concerned.
Thanks for this experience. We hope to be able to come back someday.

We stayed 2 nights in this amazing place and we enjoyed it! Peace, space and a beautiful garden and surroundings, with a very beautiful clog path route that runs past the house. But especially the hospitality has stayed with us! 2 Beautiful personalities who are committed to an even greater cause!

How was the contact with the host?
Extremely pleasant! We enjoyed the stories about their project in Namibia while enjoying coffee and delicious homemade butter cake. Thank you for your warm welcome, good luck in Namibia and see you next time!

We enjoyed 2 nights in the tranquility of the garden and surroundings.

How was the contact with the host?
We were warmly welcomed by Willem. My impression was that they give you space, but were ready for questions if needed.

Tips for new guests?
We walked to Elburg via 2 well-marked clog paths. The clog paths are largely unpaved and walk nicely through the meadows.

What a nice spot in the beautiful large garden with an unobstructed view. And nice that we could use the cozy garden house with coffee, tea, toilet. Even a shower, but we did not use it. We made one donation for the project in Namibia. We enjoyed it and would like to come back again. T beautiful Elburg is 10-15 minutes by bike

How was the contact with the host?
Fine. We only booked the night before and they were quick to respond. Willem and Jenny were friendly, and we could always ring the bell if we had any questions.

A very good experience. For next to nothing we had a garden to stand in with a garden house to sit comfortably, a shower, a toilet, coffee and tea, et cetera.

How was the contact with the host?
Willem accidentally had a double booking, but nevertheless we were kindly received and a solution was found. He told us all about their Campspace project and the project in Africa that it supports. He came back a few more times to make sure everything was okay. So very nice contact.

How was the contact with the host?
Het is leuk om met host te praten - ze hebben genoeg om te vertellen.

Je krijgt gevoel als familie bezoek.

Tips for new guests?

Beautiful garden in which I had picked a spot in the back for my tent. You could also stand in other places, closer to the garden house (sanitary and electricity). My 40 meter cord was just adequate. What a peace and quiet. Chickens, a vegetable garden and an open garden room where visitors could enjoy coffee, tea, soft drinks and biscuits. From here a lot of walking and cycling. You can also cycle to the towns of Elburg, Kampen and Hattum.

How was the contact with the host?
Friendly and easily approachable.

We had a nice few days in our tent with a beautiful view. Enjoyed the peace, despite our many absences. Even after we hung up our soaked clothes in the garden shed, they were put in the dryer and neatly folded: very sweet! Thank you very much for the good care!

We enjoyed the lovely spot in your garden! Your garden shed in combination with our camper was all right! The shower was lovely!

How was the contact with the host?
Jenny and Willem are very hospitable. We enjoyed the lettuce from our own vegetable garden with the fresh eggs!

Tips for new guests?
If you want to use water, it is useful to bring some extra bottles or a jerry can. Tip for Willem and Jenny: a tap for water at/in the garden shed…

Although we only stayed one night with our camper, it was a wonderful experience. It is a very beautiful place, wonderfully quiet and Jenny and Wim are very friendly and hospitable people. Nice to hear about the aquaponics project they support in Namibia.

How was the contact with the host?
Very good, it's great fun to see and hear with how much enthusiasm they share their garden and tell about their project

Tips for new guests?
Because the garden is also a resting point for walkers, it is possible that others come to drink a cup of coffee in the garden, but that is no problem at all.

What a great place this is!! We stayed here over the Easter weekend for 3 nights with our camper and 2 dogs. Peace, space, silence, many birds, bees, chickens, horses (at the neighbours), a beautiful garden..., what a paradise! The place is spacious and you are really alone. There is a shower and toilet in the garden house, which we found very pleasant.
Every now and then walkers or cyclists pass by for coffee/tea and homemade cake. That didn't bother us at all. We also had a lovely walk ourselves; the Klompenpad is a must and Elburg can also be easily reached on foot. Beautiful, historic place to have lunch or just for coffee.

How was the contact with the host?
Jenny and Willem are very hospitable. They welcome you with coffee/tea and take plenty of time to show you around and explain what you need to know before your stay. They share their garden with love and provide you with farm-fresh free-range eggs if you're lucky. And we had! †
They were very sweet and open to the dogs. They are used to dogs and we really liked that. That made us feel free with both hairy ladies.

Tips for new guests?
If you can, take the time to listen to Jenny and Willem's story behind the many statues in the garden and their project/life's work in Namibia. And support them!
A practical tip: take a jerry can with you so that you can tap some more water. Bottles are also fine, but a jerry can might be more practical.

Jenny and Willem have a beautiful and large garden! The fruit trees are especially handy! Tasty apples, pears and chestnuts. The adjacent garden house is convenient for a shower or for using the toilet. Nice place, but really in the garden, so despite the beautiful surroundings and the distance from the house, it remains in the backyard. Nice experience!

How was the contact with the host?
Contact with Willem was very good and helpful. Has also left us and only explained something during reception, which gave the necessary privacy.

Tips for new guests?
No water tap available, but water in the bathroom of the garden house.

Go here! And be surprised, take the time to really walk around in the garden, relax and, if you like, take a cold dip.

What a beautiful garden. Jenny and Willem's garden is truly beautiful, full of blooming flowers, fruit trees, vegetables and buzzing bees. Located on the clog path and many cycling routes, this is a fantastic place for walkers and cyclists. The garden has 1 camping pitch with an indoor area where there is also a toilet and shower. The garden is also a 'resting point' where you can enjoy a cup of coffee or tea and something delicious baked by Jenny.
In the beautiful garden you will find many statues. Just strolling through the garden will keep you entertained for hours. You always see something new.
The clog path is highly recommended and the Hanseatic city of Elburg is also well worth a visit.

We stayed 3 nights with Jenny and Willem. In the backyard! We enjoyed the place, the hospitality and the environment so much! These lovely people are committed to a charity in Zimbabwe and a voluntary donation is allowed. We were also very eager to give these 'it is happier to give than to receive'
How nice that such lovely people still exist in this world!
